That looks like former SEC freshman of the year who cowardly transferred out, 35 year old rookie of the year candidate, rich man's Bryce Young, and Screen King Bo Nix.

This is spot on and it was good to start the day with a laugh

Kyle Allen in 13 games in 2019:

3,322 passing yards

Bryce Young in 11 games this year:

1,791 passing yards

That's a difference of 1,531 yards in two starts.

That was the year CMC went 1k/1k. I’d imagine it’d be easier to throw for that many yards having CMC (see Brock Purdy).

but I get your point.

Pretty sure this has been pointed out already when arguing context. CMC, DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel were all YAC MONSTERS! Just get the ball into their hands and any one of them could break it 50+ at anytime. And don't forget Greg Olsen playing the savvy vet security blanket. We're comparing apples and oranges. Actually more like apples and mangos.

The whole "Panthers don't have YAC guys" is a bit exhausting in a week where Coker has like 50 on one play. Sanders has half his yards from YAC this year. Bryce and/or our scheme isn't putting those guys in position to get YAC. Very often, the softballs young throws allows defenders to close. Some of that will get better with better timing tho, some of it won't because the coverages teams play as they aren't afraid of him deep. Some of it is Adam Thielen is our leading target and he can't get YAC at all anymore.

Tbf, Young started 9 games this year, not 11, and only has 54 yards total in the other 2 (Allen had like 250 in his non start in 2019). So, ya know, it's only a 1580 yard difference in four games 🤣

Bo Nix is absolutely a check down artist. He’s got the perfect coach for it. I think the other parts of his offense are comparable or inferior to Carolina,  but he’s in a better situation overall.

Sean Payton can get qb production out of anyone. The dude is just a great fuging coach.

if you want to compare Bo to Bryce, bo has for the most part avoided games where he plays so poorly the team has no chance of winning. Bryce has had three this year, and god knows how many last year.

Bo also actually has the physical attributes to play in the NFL. Even if you truly believe Bryce just needs more time and more weapons, he’s just not built to survive in the nfl. He can’t protect the ball because he’s so small, the hits he takes look horrific, it limits what the panthers can do in short yardage and the red zone, and he’s going to age very quickly. It’s not necessarily going to be some catastrophic open fracture, but he’s def going to have a lot of small things add up for him very quickly relative to anyone else.

That’s physics.

Bo nix’s floor is hanging around the league forever as at least a backup because he’s shown he can learn a complex timing based offense and make every throw in the book.

bryce will be judging dancing with the stars before Nix’s rookie contract is up.

The other thing about bo is he is the same player in the pros he was in college. He was absolutely a screen mechanic and left for Oregon because you can’t really have success playing qb like that at auburn. They just can’t recruit the players unless they out pay everyone else for cam newton.

Bryce in college was touted as a guy who could make throws to all three levels, hit the whole route tree, brilliant tactician who was “running team meetings,” etc. it’s pretty clear by now Bryce can’t consistently make the throws he did in college, and that’s being kind. He’s also not shown any of this touted football IQ nonsense we were promised. As far as what he supposedly did at Alabama, they’re saying the same thing about Jalen milroe right now and that guys gonna be running routes at the combine.

Bo is exactly who he was going to be. Bryce is a fraud and the panthers got rinsed acquiring him. In soviet Russia if you’d given up that much to get great value Bo nix you’d be handed a chambered pistol and a confession to sign.

    • Best I heard its a clause the bungals want to add. It prevents them form paying the full guaranteed amount if triggered. No one knows the details of the clause, but guesses are it relates to off-field stuff. Stewart is in the right here. Before they signed burrow, chase, and Higgins they were the cheapest team in the league bar none. Unlike tepper or jarrah Jones or any other NFL ownership, all Mike brown owns is the beagals. Every other owner has many other money making businesses, not bungals.  I still remember when Brenston Bunker was starting on WFNZ and he told the story about the beagals telling him to pick a used cup form a huge pile, LOLS! They been on hard knocks and I remember Marvin lewis telling the players not to take home Gatorade bottles........* but in that case, I believe some players were taking a back pack and filling it up with drinks. Still you make millions(around 200million) in net profit and Im sure coke gave the team those bottles, still... Its a 32 team billion business, someone has to the cheapest.....Panthers were around the next cheapest team before tepper bought them and he has POURED millions upon millions into the team. He bought a bubble that Richardson never would, so the team had to gather in building during the rain. He spent millions on coofus machines that he just gave away like the bubble. Tepper made that AC trailer a thing. I've trashed him about his concerts and taking away end zone seats from fans. But the guy will spend money any way to efforts to better the team, dang I just remembered the deal he gave Rhule- more than Andy Reid at the time.  I know results have not came, but Id 100% take Tepper over Mike brown as a owner.
    • There's no way they're shipping you some uniform you haven't seen lol.  I feel like they'd just refund you and ask if you wanted the new one when it launched. Probably just making the blues the primary, or a new helmet for a new alternate/variation.
    • Man even after 5-12 seasons they are able to produce hype videos.
