In our situation, I wouldn't trade for him.  It will take at least a first round pick.  We would be better off pursuing Tee Higgins.

But I do think he's a very good WR.

I can’t see them getting more than a second, especially for a disgruntled player who doesn’t want to be there anymore.  Tee Higgins will want a fat contract

I would prefer to build through the draft rather than FA or trades. Especially considering the lack of overall talent the Panthers currently have on the team. They still have a few successful drafts to go before they are a threat to anyone.

Then they won't trade him IMO.  He's only 24 and still under contract, you don't trade a caliber of his player for less than 1st.  I think they get about the same value as Minnesota did for Diggs.

Difference being the Jets are a dumpster fire trash org about to completely change up front vs Vikings are a very well run franchise who had all the leverage. I don’t think they get a first for him.

Why would the Panthers want a playmaking WR when they have a drive killing LT? Obviously the Panthers keep the player who makes for a worse passing game.

Always take the player that will improve the offense. Panthers need to improve the QB and LT position regardless of the WR being Thielen, Coker, XL or Garrett Wilson.

You can get a Garrett Wilson by prioritizing actual WR skills instead of RAS scores when drafting.
