some rando's opinion... Evero *will be* first to be fired

In my opinion, I really couldn't care less if he is fired. Injuries or not the defense is all time bad. Others teams have dealt with severe injuries but didn't reach one of the top all time bad so I don't care either way if he is fired. Bring in someone else and see what happens. Throw poo at the wall until something sticks and we are no worse off. fug it, fire his ass and see what happens next. That's the way it's been going for years now so who gives a poo anyway.

I thought he signed a 3 year deal when he joined Reich's staff... I think he has 1 year left, no?

this article references his deal of having 1 year left when the talk was about him being blocked from leaving last year.

Detroit had 9 of 11 starters on defense out with injuries. It seems they are managing just fine. Meanwhile in Carolina they can't tackle a 6 year old.

This is the last year I think. Rams wanted him to come back last year but the Panthers blocked it. According to this article this was the last season.

Right but that would mean a 2 year deal vs 3 year. It's hard to find which one is correct.  This Yahoo article says 2025 would be his last year. https://sports.yahoo.com/ejiro-everos-future-panthers-tricky-150042180.html

Ehhhhhh I wouldn’t say they are playing just fine. They gave up like 450 yards and let Josh Dobbs do his stupid theatrics at the end.

The turnovers saved them.

Great point! I for one don't care or feel sorry for anyone in athletics (part of the entertainment industry as well) who gets canned because they are not producing. I've lived that poo through college then into my stint in the AFL the original XFL cut due to an injury and not producing now ina career in the same field where if my ass don't produce by preparing other young bucks at a Div 1 level my ass is gone. I know that pressure all too well and we all know this crap when we signed up for it starting in college when they would bring a whole new class in each year to replace your ass if you are getting them results.

As of this year he isn't producing what so ever and his defense looks like utter poo. Detroit blasted by injuries fights right along. No excuses and it's a what have you done for me league and basically entire lifestyle in any of the major sports starting in college. Only way we can go is up from here. We could hire Curly from the Three Stooges and probably at bare minimum get the same results out of our defense so doesn't hurt at all to try someone new. Come on down recently fired Jets head coach. He is a no nonsense tough bastard and could be a good place to start talking as soon as Everyone's handed his walking papers and ticket at the airport to fly home. Ugh, the most dreaded item to get from a team is the blank non logo team bag to pack your poo in from your locker and your plane ticket home complete with awkward ride of shame to the airport if you live out of town. He will probably get first class which is even better for him. Bye bye buddy

Detroit allowed an average of 32.5 the last 4 weeks yet scored 37.5 a week over that span. They are one of the best offenses in the league even without montgomery. They are the #1 in points per game. They are riding that offensive juggernaut hard there. We average 2tds a game less than that Detroit team. Overall they had a better defense and better 1st and 2nd stringers to start. We are pulling PS guys weekly to start and the backups are PS guys in sub packages. Hell the 32.5 allowed is worse than our yearly average yet they won 3 out of 4 games...

Also got the dysfunctional bears in there keeping that average down. They faced that bears team twice the last 5 weeks which helps pad the defensive stats for sure. They also got the jags and titans a few weeks earlier to help out with the banged up defense float. let's be real, bears, jags, titans and Richardson lead colts are battling us in offensive output, so no really challenges there.

Detroit will really get the test in the playoffs, as the offense has bailed them out a bunch, well until the bills hung 48 on them 3 games ago.  They are the team everyone wants to see win it all, but I think they legitimately have real trouble once the playoffs start with all the season ending injuries they racked up and having to ask Goff and co to go ham 4 straight games.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
