 ((((CAREER STATS AFTER YEAR 2))))

6 Wins - 22 Losses (21% win rate)   (as a starting QB)

- 5280 passing yards, 60.3% Completion rate, 28 TD, 19 INTs
- 82 rushes, 502 rushing yards 6 rushing TDs , 6.1 ypc

(((CAREER STATS AFTER YEAR 1)))

2 Wins - 14 Losses  (12.5% win rate)

- 2877 passing yards, 59.8% Completion rate,  11 TDs, 10 INTs

- 253 rushing yards, 0 TDs, 6.5 ypc

Some things I've noticed. His completion percentage hasn't changed much which is interesting. Its good to see that TD  to INT Ratio get a little better.

All 6 of the rushing TDs came from year 2.

Most important thing to me

In his last 8 games, three interceptions.  And 2 of those came in one game.  And during those games, he was throwing the ball down the field more.  Four game winning drives in those 8 games.  And a couple of others, he lead drives that might have won the game had others done their jobs.  The kid has been money in close games.

These are the things that make winning qb's imo.  Don't get me wrong, he still has some areas he needs to improve upon.  But I feel much better than I did after the Chargers game.

Imagine using Peyton Mannings and Josh Allen’s rookie season to define them.

Yeah, you just use their careers. Everything.

We are only allowed to talk about Bryce through the lense of like 4 games

4-6 since Bryce came back, should have been at least 5-5 or even 6-4 if not for a couple of plays.  (Chuba fumble vs TB,  XL drop vs Eagles). The positive momentum despite historically bad defense is undeniable

I'm hoping at midseason next year you'll be saying "yeah but we're only allowed to talk about Bryce through the lense of 12 games"

Yall gotta stop being dishonest with yourselves. When he has the ball in his hands he is trustworthy. He’s delivered multiple game winning drives that would be W’s if not for this ass defense.

Bryce has already outclutched Delhomme. He’s easily the best QB we’ve had since Cam God Newton.

This is why Bryce is perceived by some to have more haters than he does….because the folks super high on Bryce take it too far over and over and we can’t resist addressing it.

Bryce Young has not already out clutched Jake Delhomme.  Adding today as a GW drive….Bryce has 6 GW drives in 28 starts.  Which hasn’t even caught him up to Jake’s 2003 seasons worth of GW drives.

You can’t be serious CRA. The 03 defense is an all time defense. Bryce Young on the 08 squad takes them to the Super Bowl. Delhomme had a legitimate two year stretch as a standout QB. But he never really had it between the ears. He just had the arm talent to force throws he had no business making. Tommy John destroyed him.

Thats why the 08/09 playoff game was so awful. It is exposed Jake for who he really was . Had Fox had any god damn sense he would have made the 08 season an open competition between Delhomme and Matt Moore, and Moore would have taken us farther. Because he was the smarter QB and had the better arm.

    • Nobody is saying we don't need it, just that we have bigger needs elsewhere, and that type of WR is actually something that is often found in the mid rounds, you just have to scout and evaluate properly. Here's another way of looking at why WR in the 1st shouldn't even be considered an option. Looking only at players currently on the team, what position group would you feel strongest about 4 years from now? I'm not sure there is a better answer there than WR, as you have to think T-Mac is our best player on the team in 4 years, with Coker not far behind. Our OL is too old to be considered, my opinions on Bryce is well known, Hubbard will be done by then and the rest of the RB is an unknown, Off-ball LB is maybe our biggest need, we only have 1 legit safety, it's certainly not TE, and our 2nd best CB right now will be 33 by then.   Brown should still be a beast as he'll only be 31, but nobody else on the DL projects to be that good in 4 years.  Edge rusher with Phillips, Scourton, and Princely is probably the only other possible answer than WR. So yes, that fast/shifty type of WR is 100% a need of ours, but we have so many other bigger needs both in the immediate and future, that to me, taking a WR in the 1st for the 3rd year in a row and having hit on another WR in the same time frame, just makes zero sense both currently and looking into the future.
    • Laughing at Slayton (Mooney or Calvin Austin III), but telling me that Coker is the next best thing since sliced bread...You laughing at Theo Johnson in reference to our guys too? LOL No one in their right mind thinks Nabers is anything but a stud (definitely top 10 if not 5 potential). You do realize that Thomas was in a new system with a furst-time coach last year (with a questionable QB to boot)? And yet still, it's possible that he eclipses even T-mac (not saying that he will). They didn't even mention Travis Hunter. In any event, we're not in the top half. Draft another legit receiver, and we will be.
    • Absolutely, very fair assessment of the team.
