I always giggle that the Bills and Comms have become 2nd homes or refuge for former Panthers. I hope the Bills can get it done this year, I'd like to see that for Allen and McDermott. I just feel like this is their year.

I honestly don't think they beat the ravens. I feel like the Ravens will just run the ball down their throat the entire game

Agreed, I would take Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, Burrow, and Goff over him.

And that’s it.

That was back when the score was like 10-10 and he'd just missed three receivers in the end zone over 7 plays lol. Like every young QB he has his ups and downs and he ultimately delivered when it mattered most

Edit: also I didn't say he was playing poorly - I expected him to get the ball in the end zone on those possessions is all.

I mostly agree, but I think its more accurate to say that balance wins championships.

Hard to argue that, but we are far from balanced offensively and defensively.

And I know, we had a lot of problems, having been balanced before in how poorly the ENTIRE team played for the past five or so years.

Daniels looked great this year. But so did Vince Young. So did Sam Bradford. So did RG3. Kyler Murray hasn't completely busted but he also isn't any better now than he was as a rookie. Herbert looked way better as a rookie than I expected and looked on the MVP caliber track but seems to have plateaued considerably below that.

Be careful assuming good rookies will automatically progress as expected, especially 24 year old rookies.

Ehh, Daniels has looked much better than any of those guys you mentioned other than Herbert. Of course nothing in this league is guaranteed but Daniels absolutely looks like the real deal. Dude is just outrageously poised and calm for a rookie in all situations, not to mention the mobility and a hell of an arm and great accuracy. Washington got a really good one.

Yeah, he looks really good. All I'm saying is don't just assume he's going to take the next step and prove to be MVP caliber. Doesn't always happen like that. As well as he played yesterday, he threw about three balls that could've maybe even should've been picked off. How different is the narrative today had those defensive plays been made? And nothing would've changed on his part.

I don’t know about that.  Looks like a rerun of RG3 to me.  Hopefully he doesn’t keep running like a crash test dummy until it’s too late.

He takes some horrific hits. He did in college too. He definitely needs to learn to protect himself a little better when running. Slid, get out of bounds, whatever. He's not built to run through defenders like a Cam or Josh Allen.

    • It’s like being on the Flyers broadcast team feed so far
    • Boy the flyers look good early. Lots of bad plays and slow start by our team. Hope that changes before the score changes.
    • I guess I should have stipulated outside the sacred cow.   I complained from year one that Bryce should compete for and win the starting job on his own merit but no he was just handed it. I have been right there with everyone that wants competition.  But I don’t really have a huge problem with it for this season the way it has gone because where are the viable people we don’t have to trade for? I actually am okay with tiny hands Pickett because he is so close to Bryce arm strength wise and to be honest, skill wise. Probably. And it is only a one year deal.  That also takes into account that the QB class is looking stacked next year and if Young fails miserably then we get either a reset or a real competition and there will be more guys that I would like looking at in the FA QB class next year as well.    I sort of accept where we are this year and look at it as another treading water year (at QB). I just want to get to next year with some clarity. More than anything. And they did empty out the room (behind him anyway). Again, who was really there for us?  And I know it would not be a true competition at this point anyway. They are giving him the year, like it or not.    Also I don’t give a poo about winning games IF he sucks and or goes down after sucking because draft position and that stacked QB class.  And I want out from under him So Bad.     So I guess it is several factors that lessen my anxiety over his backup this particular season.    I am not trying to convince anyone, but you asked. That’s how I look at it.
