3 daughters....  just a true panthers fan...  I always target under the radar guys... bc they always make the biggest impact. Wonnum changed the trajectory of our pass rush when he got healthy.

He's young he could end up being a great signing who knows.

But in one day we have spent 151 million dollars on the secondary and we are now relegated to signing prove it guys like this in the trenches.

We really need a fantastic draft.

Panthers agreed to terms with EDGE Patrick Jones, formerly of the Vikings, on a two-year contract.
The Vikings drafted Jones in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was deployed as a part-time defensive end and a special teamer throughout his rookie contract, being credited with just five starts over four years. Even in a limited role, Jones broke out last year with seven sacks and nine TFLs. His contract, worth “up to” $20 million, signals that the Panthers will utilize him in a larger role going forward.

The game film tells the whole story... folk go to pff and say FACTS. As a fan, you'd know the defense was horrible  but looking IN the trenches ... NO DERRICK BROWN,  LIMITED CLOWNEY, TUTTLE AT NOSE TACKLE...   it was catastrophic. This dude was the bright spot gake in n out u saw effort n drive despite the total defense being ass. If someone improves your defense... thats bad??

I swear folk get pissed about upside and  want names only.  Most of our hits over the years was guys like this. This aint a CJ Henderson move... the tape shows when he had a chance... he delivered.  3 to 4 years is the range where dlimemen take off. I bet half these folk were ready to write Brown off too a couple years ago.

      We had a QB who could do that and its the last time we went to the Super Bowl and the only time we had an MVP. Once he lost his ability to do that he was out of the league. To filter out insignificant stats I will only look at QBs who have played in 10 or more games this year. There are 28 qualifying QBs. Bryce is 25th in Air Yards per Attempt at 6.4. Only Joe Flacco, Cam Ward, and Dillon Gabriel are worse (6.0, 5.8, 5.1). Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and CJ Stroud are the median QBs at 7.1. Drake Maye and Sam Darnold lead the league at 8.7. Bryce is 18th in the league for passes that travel 30+ yards at 12. The median is Caleb Williams at 15. The league leader is Matthew Stafford with 26. With passes that travel 40+ yards, Bryce is tied with three others at 21st in the league with 3. Only Jacoby Brissett, Cam Ward, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel are worse. The median is a three-way tie with Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, and Baker Mayfield with 6. The league leader is Sam Darnold with 12. Having the ability to complete passes down the field (not YAC) stretches the defense and makes them account for more ground. It keeps players out of the box and keeps formations in nickel or dime, less line backers for your RBs to worry about. Bryce is why we have 2 losses against the Saints. If he had the outright ability to sling the football down field we beat the easily, but he doesn't. So they crowded the box and our 2 starting caliber RBs with our top ~10 Oline couldn't carry the offense to a win on their own. The limitations of the offense fall squarely on Bryce.

      Bryce’s deep passes are intermediate passes for other strong armed QBs. I will say that Bryce’s accuracy on his deep passes have improved. Before they would just sail out of bounds. Now the WR actually has a fighting chance on the ball.
