As of today, who would you draft at number 8?

Every time I do the draft simulator the TE Warren is the BPA. Everyone you guys have been talking about for the past 3 months are all taken before our pick on there.

That's because there's a feeling among some folks that the Jets are smitten with him.

Jalon Walker will have his pro day April 17th I fear he's going to put on a Shemar Stewart combine type show and sky rocket up the draft boards. Raiders might take him at 6

It appears he is looking like the front runner to be 1 of the top 3 non qb players to be selected. Right now it's Carter, Hunter and Walker.

At 8 I'd take Will Johnson, Jalon Walker, Tyler Warren or maybe even Mike Green.

Or I'd trade down for more picks and take somebody like Jihaad Campbell, Malaki Starks, Nick Emmanwori, Matthew Golden, Emeka Egbuka, Jahdae Barron, James Pearce, Mykel Williams or Luther Burden

Jihaad Campbell. I think Dan Morgan would want a version of himself on the field, a center piece that can do it all, including going out on the edge and rush the passer. He'd solidify the middle for years to come. Also, according to PFF, he hit the same amount of sacks as Jalon Walker did in HALF the pass rush snaps. These kinda middle linebackers don't come around often, and with the depth of talent at the edge and dt, we can address those in the following rounds.

I like your thinking - I'm all for Campbell also

Oh shiite! He has the best defensive highlight reel I've seen in a while. He can rush, cover and crush the run. Love his ability to beat and avoid blocks. I may have to go watch a few Alabama games and pay attention to him. Position aside, he just might be the best defensive player in the draft! That's why Hurney was so good in the first round. He just picked the best football player - period.

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup.
