We need a safety, corner, WR and RB with four of the five picks.   The luxury pick will be either a TE, DL, OL or ILB.

No no no. Stick to the board! Draft BPA! That's what the top tier teams do.

FA (and to a much lesser extent, UDFA) is for all the needs stuff.

Some good value at CB, DT and RB.

Bowman is the only remaining safety that I feel is a good with w/Moehrig

Maybe Strong, Tuten, Peebles - the triple hokie haha

Peebles is off my hokie list. I want Lane, tuten (my fav of the bunch), and ok with strong.

Strong is a hit or miss: you put him in zone and he's going to look great. Ask him to cover outside and he's going to give up huge plays down field. He's great when he has help over the top, but doesn't have the recovery speed unfortunately. But damn if he's facing the QB, he's money. I wouldn't want him on speedy slots though. He is a willing tackler too. Comes up and can support in the run game and blitz too. I am afraid he's not quite the athlete to really standup as a slot guy early and that limits his career. Now could be a ST ace.

Lane was underutilized. I don't think his track speed always shows on tape. If he gets a runway sure he's gone. Routes are ok but teachable. As a returner he was very good. Again get him a crease and he can flat fly. Big enough to be a true speedy slot guy in the NFL.

Now tuten, if he was at a blue blood he'd be gone. Great vision and patience as a runner. What shocked was the explosion and speed. He was injured allot at VT so the tape showed the combine numbers only at times. Much improved as a receiver out of the backfield. Getting a lb on him on a wheel route equalled big chunks. Mediocre as a pass blocker but much improved. Kickoff and put return strengths too. My issues are health. Never 100% as the seasons wore on. Historically VT has had good backs, that never translate for long due to health. As a Blackshear replacement his is an upgrade for sure. I don't think he's a 3 down back but gets 20 snaps a game cause i don't trust the health. Now could he spot start and get 50+ snaps and 20+ carries for a stretch sure, but I wouldn't want to rely on him as the #1 guy for a season.

I don't think there's any thing that projects higher than Wallace or Jewell at this point but I like Stutsman a lot here.

Yeah, I think we'll probably end up rolling with Wallace and Jewell, and we probably should. At least we know what Jewell is (solid), and Wallace is still developing. It's way too early to be giving up on him.

In no particular order:

Deone Walker - DT Kentucky

Quincy Riley - CB Louisville

Jalen Royals - WR Utah State

Billy Bowman Jr - S Oklahoma

Danny Stutsman - LB Oklahoma

Andres Borregales - K Miami

Cam Skattebo - RB Arizona State

Drew Kendall - C Boston College

I like this list.

I would add Chris Paul to it

I actually wouldn't mind drafting S. Sanders.  The dude got the message.  The last day of the draft is made for taking shots.  Yes, I know we have Bryce.  What if he regresses?  Using a fourth round pick on a guy some thought was a first round talent isn't dumb.

What if Bryce works out? The honest answer is it's not about Bryce.  Bryce will either work or not, and it's totally in his hands.

What about Sanders?  Maybe Sanders is never more than a backup.  Getting a backup QB in the fourth round is great business.  Maybe he shows the ability to be a starter.  That's a great problem to have!  If you have two starting quality QB's on your roster, you can keep the one you feel fits you the best and flip the other for draft capital.

I get your point and don't disagree overall, but we still need to fill too many holes. S, LB, CB, OT

Top teams can afford to do that cause they don't have holes like we do.  Also Eagles traded up to get Mukuba, was he BPA?

    • Nobody is giving up a 4th rounder for a backup QB And anyone who needs a starter badly enough to where Bryce would then be their starter, is such a bad team that they're not giving up a pick likely to be about pick 105ish overall, instead of just dealing with a bad QB situation for a season and then drafting one in a loaded QB draft next year. I'm looking through all the teams right now and can't think of a single one that would be willing to part with anything better than a 6th rounder. Barring injuries (and excluding the Panthers), there look to be 10 teams who don't know with 100% certainty who their starting QB will be in 2027... Dolphins, Jets, Browns, Steelers, Vikings, Colts, Saints, Falcons, Cardinals, and Rams. Of those 10...  The Rams know it will be Stafford or Simpson.  The Saints more than likely will be sticking with Shough unless he takes a huge step backwards.  So neither are giving up any draft picks for Bryce right now, just wouldn't make sense for either. Down to 8 Given their current QB situation of having multiple QBs they already need to evaluate between this year, the Browns (Shedeur/Watson), Vikings (Kyler/JJ), Colts (Jones/Richardson/Leonard), and Falcons (Penix/Tua), wouldn't be giving up a 4th (or maybe any pick) to bring in another QB to muddy the waters even more. Down to 4 Dolphins just signed Willis and wouldn't want to bring in another small Alabama QB who has struggled after just dumping Tua instead of just rolling with Ewers as the backup.   That then leaves the Steelers, Cardinals, and Jets left as it's clear none of them have any idea who their 2027 could be as of right now.  But the Steelers would for sure rather just see what one of the 2 QB's they drafted in the last 2 drafts could become than give up a mid round pick for Bryce.  Same goes for the Cardinals in taking Beck this past weekend. The Jets would be the most likely team to even consider taking him on, but I think it seems very apparent right now given them rolling with Geno and now talk of bringing in Wilson to be his backup, they're punting on QB this year to draft someone next year, so why give up even a mid round pick for Bryce?
    • Honestly I am not sure Pickett couldn’t step in for him. But I don’t see a clear easy upgrade and we are not KC with Alex Smith we are a team that hadn’t done poo for almost ten years and just made the playoffs. And looked good in the game. That stadium atmosphere on that day…. you know Tepper ate that poo up. Not one drink has been thrown in a while.  You had better make sure if you replaced him after that that you had a sure fire upgrade.
    • Makes sense. If Bryce is ass this year, we are probably drafting our new QB next draft and sitting him behind Bryce for a year
