No, Greg really posted here for a like a week or 2, back when he was popular and well before the DV charges and everything else. There was some fan boy named Nails that spent another 8 years clamoring for him to be resigned

That's right, I don't remember Hardy but remember the Nails dude

Didn't our current GM make a brief appearance and dickheads dragged him for his pizza joint and history of head injuries?

Some people just don't deserve good things in life.

Dan signed up shortly before he opened the pizza place, kind of did a little promotion on here to get panther fans to stop by. Several huddlers reported back to say they met Dan at the restaurant, and that he would hang out and talk football and that the food was good. (I thought it was average and kinda overpriced, he wasn’t there when I went). Since his interactions were going positively, he would post from time to time on topics and give a bit of his insight. Problem is it that was around 2009, the year after Jake melted down with the 6 TO game in the playoffs, and basically started the season with similar performances. Everyone was livid that Jake got an extension that offseason and the consensus of the fans was that it was time to see what Matt Moore had. Dan in one of the threads (and in an Interview on 610) said that what he had heard from the team is that Moore was struggling with the playbook and that why he wasn’t starting. People got mad about that and started saying things like oh that’s your concussions talking…and unsurprisingly he left (but without any sort of announcement, he just stopped posting). He probably wasn’t here for more than a month or two tops, the restaurant closed that following offseason.

Dragging the pizza joint didn’t really happen to my recollection until it was announced that he was the new GM and a few of the crazies (OP of this thread among them) equated his restaurant not succeeding to not being fit to be in charge of football operations. You know, typical huddle stuff.

And constantly posting about his MMA fights until he started losing them all. LOL

so last night my daughter who is playing softball had a parents vs daughter softball scrimmage. i grew up playing baseball and played softball for most of my college and adult life up until about a decade ago. i didn't really have any reason to stop, but i also wasn't in any situations to play. i figured, "why not?"

well, now i know "why not?". about 8 years ago i slipped at work and banged my head on the concrete floor. had a concussion that was pretty bad for a while, but that was a long time ago. the only lingering thing going on is that i have double vision, but i'm used to is. i've adjusted....or at least i thought i had.

i played catcher (one of the positions i used to play a lot) and i got up to bat. both ended up being terrifying. apparently when you've got double vision, it also affects your depth perception. i couldn't see the ball coming. well i saw it, but i didn't know where it was. i got hit once and i thought, "ok. i'm done."

i'm talking to my wife about it and she says, "well, you're probably never going to play softball again." that's a sad realization for some reason. well it was in the moment. then my thought was, "i really have to pee" and i was over it.

point of all that is, getting old is...... interesting.

thanks for letting me share.

Waiting now for Ortho Carolina to schedule my knee replacement.  I feel you.

i think it was the greg hardy superfan, but it could have been him. who knows. both characters were batshit crazy.

It was for sure Greg because I made a Monsters Inc. poster and superimposed his face on it and he saw it here and he loved it and reposted it on his verified Twitter right after. Definitely him.

I remember the Shelby’s crowd in Denver in 2013-2015. Good times. Met PhillyB once but he was pretty shy and didn’t want to hang with my crazy Boston friends I had with me, so he bought us shots and waived from afar in his wool blazer like some weirdo.

    • So Willis had a good game against a poor defense and all of a sudden he is worth 50 million and is guaranteed to be better than Young. LOL I know he looked good in the 3 games he started, and I think he will have success long term, but anyone signing him up for a long term contract for 50 million is taking a huge risk.
    • Is he really though? Rivera was past his prime and probably shouldn't have even started 2019 so his firing wasn't really unexpected or unwarranted. Rhule lasted two and a half years which was about one year too long in my opinion. Bringing him back that third year certainly wasn't impulsive and I would say Tepper was more patient than he should have been. Wilks finished out that third season and did pretty good but most everyone could see he really wasn't anything more than an intern HC. Bringing him back was not the long term answer so not bringing him back was the correct call. Hiring Reich was a mistake from the beginning and he recognized that fairly quickly. I am sure he knew he was going to catch a lot of sh*t for firing him so quickly ( and boy did he ) but it was absolutely the right thing to do given everything that was going on. The firing may have looked impulsive, but I think it was him recognizing he had royally f*ck up and just dealt with it instead of letting it fester.  That brings us to Canales. 2025 was only his second season and yet he delivered 8 wins and the NFC South title. And while that might not sound great, given the lack of talent and cap space they started with, it's a strong step in the right direction. I couldn't imagine Tepper not being pleased with their progress given the crap the Panthers' have been though under his ownership.
