If we win the conference and it's not because of injuries in TB or Penix being a dud, then it means Bryce is in the MVP discussion and if that happens, then T-Mac probably had one of the best rookie seasons for a WR ever.

Because this defense has added some nice potential pieces, but it's nowhere near ready to compete at a level to win the South this year unless the offense just goes nuts as one of the highest scoring teams in the league with Bryce doing the Mahomes thing and winning close late games on a weekly basis.

So sure, I'm in.  I'm proven right and my guy looks like the next big thing and I'm proven wrong and Bryce is also the real deal and we're set up with an elite QB-WR combo for the next decade.

To be fair, some of those years it was true.

but let's just  look at the Panther right now (2025)  & what do you , i & everyone else see it's INEXPERIENCE

1) Qb 2 years experience / Bryce Young

2)WR 3 players with a combined 2 years experience  Jalen Coker , Xavier Legette & a Rookie at WR1 Teotria McMilian

3) TE 1 year experience J.Sanders

so whats that a  total of altogether 5 players at key skill positions on the offensive side of the ball with a combined 5 years of experience in the NFL

& then we have these rookie edge rushers that normally take at least on average  2 to 3 years of experience before they finally IF & WHEN develop into a legitimate starter in the NFL ?

be patient right now this is going to be like watching paint dry & hopefully one day soon  it shines

I'm always in because I am an optimist person when it comes to our Panthers.

I feel it is all going rely on Evero. Can he get the most out of our free agents? It's been noted before Evero doesn't rely on Rookies too much. He's going to have to let them play and they are going to have to be solid contributers. If the defense improves greatly we'll be in the hunt. With our porous defense in 2024 we still split with New Orleans and Atlanta and almost beat the Bucs one time.

Offensively T-Mac needs to prove why he was the #1 receiver (arguably) in the draft. If he proves he is XL and Coker will have a better sophomore campaign. I also believe our rookie RB is going to be a huge threat in the passing game.

Dave Canales did well his rookie campaign but he also needs to improve.

There are a ton of ifs, but not impossible. I think we can do it. I do believe that we'll have fun watching the Panthers be competitive again.

I don't disagree...but here's the thing.  We are here to have a good time, and being optimistic is way more fun.  This is the only time of year we can really take the top off that meter, because it is all pure speculation right now.

We will come back down to earth after a few games.  Let's have our fun while we can.  We are currently undefeated, and we should act like it 🙂

    • The good news is that we are pretty uniquely well established to address all of our needs this season. We have $14m real cap space, and something like $40m in trade deadline cap space. Not sure exactly how that works out. But, we have the room to absorb any bad contracts. With recent rule changes regarding retention, that went into effect this season, we now have a huge advantage in the trade market.  On top of that, while we do have obvious needs, we also have a glut of talent in certain areas that we struggle to find ice time for. We are over-stocked on scrappy talented lil-guys, strong defensively sound 3rd liners and shutdown left shot dmen. Whether it's a package or separate deals, idk. But, one of each from Stank/Blake/Nads, Erob/Carrier/KK/Jank, and Walker/Nystrom; throw in some 1st round picks (and frankly any other prospects they want) and we should be able to come out with a 1b to pair with Bussi and either a 2c with size or a 2c and size.   TL/DR We got the money, you got the stuff?
    • I don’t  think 6’4 was ever considered small or undersized. Baby hands tho, yes that was his thing That’s an interesting idea, like an optical illusion? Sounds like you have personal experience with this!
    • in the 25' draft the Carolina Panthers had hired Brandt Tillis someone who actually understood how to build a successful team & build through the draft .  this team was yes mismanaged for years prior to Brandt Tillis joining the team in 25' & rarely done anything right in the draft outside occaionaly getting lucky on an UDFA such as Jalen Coker who's dad coincidentally happened to be a huge Carolina Panthers fan, hint hint  ...just saying
