Bryce Young coming in at #20

PFF sort making the argument in their QB rankings that their indepth stats aren't the end all be all.   20 seems about right though.

Brock "Average" Purdy coming in at 11.  Scandalous.

No argument with 20, which is surely heavily slanted based on the end of last season. He needs to climb to a no doubt Top 10-15 this year or draft conversations are going to get interesting.

Geno Smith at #10 is probably the wildest thing on this list. Geno is borderline top 20. Purdy is a few spots too high but Geno is probably 10 spots too high.

Im ok with this. I feel like this year is where people start to see what we are becoming..

Baker should be higher and Geno should be lower but that's about all I can see definitely wrong with the list. Really good list actually. Neither should move drastically, maybe swap them and it looks good.

If Young doesn’t look top 10ish I think you move on. He’s a number 1 pick with no excuses. Has to be a franchise QB.

I agree, Young is completely out of excuses.  I'm not saying we just straight up get rid of him if he doesn't show top 10 potential, but I think we start looking for a QB who does and let BY be the bridge.

I think they might be jumping the gun a little putting Daniels that high but they admit that and I think they have Stroud a little low. I'd honestly put them both somewhere in the neighborhood of 10ish, so basically bumping Daniels down 3-4 spots and Stroud up 3-4.

Altogether not a terrible list aside from the Geno head scratcher.

I think his stats will depend on the development of the rookies and sophomore receivers, which isn't totally under is control. The eye test is a different story. Has to consistently look the part before you decide to pay him Purdy money.

I don’t get why people hating on Purdy. You don’t put up the numbers he did for 3 years and just be “average” otherwise you would have had QBs who you claim are better put up way better numbers.

No one is "hating" on Purdy. The point is that in his situation a lot of guys could've duplicated his production and now he's going to have a contract that is going to force some difficult roster building challenges with the cap impacts. The massive advantage with Brock Purdy was his dirt cheap rookie contract that allowed a lot of spending flexibility elsewhere on the roster and that advantage is going away.

Don't know that I agree; Geno is pretty solid. I'd take him over Purdy, TBH.

You put Geno in that Shanahan offense - and take Purdy out of it - and I think Geno would shine while Purdy would fall flat very quickly.
