Yeah, shooting up a building is not the best way to argue that you don't have CTE. Jesus.

Yeah it would be, but the shooter was saying he DOES have CTE. Obviously unproven, because it can only be diagnosed post death. But yeah he wasn't arguing that he doesn't have CTE, quite the opposite.

Here’s my soapbox/editorial, which is more of an aside on this tragedy:

Unstable is unstable, regardless of the cause. I feel for all of the lives he ruined. Maybe states will stop closing inpatient MH facilities when they are needed more now than ever. There are a lot of abandoned inpatient facilities that shamefully are rotting away while lifers are sleeping in the streets.

Gotcha, the wording made it seem like the NFL claimed he had CTE.

Did he even play in the NFL? If not, why did he blame them for his CTE?

Didn't the NFL cover up evidence that concussions could cause CTE? If that evidence had been made public, maybe more kids quit playing football and/or more advancements in helmet technology occur sooner.  I don't remember the facts of the NFL and CTE but there were allegations they covered up research.

Or more dads quit pushing their sons to play pop-Warner/JV/Varsity football

think he just played HS ball.

I mean, I guess you could argue the NFL sort of sets a top down trickle effect for the entire sport.   I mean if the NFL said ramming your head into other heads is VERY bad and scrambles your brain.....it would impact other things
