Yeah, that is why I don’t think we will do it.

We haven't made any horrifying trades under Dan yet. If that does happen, I suppose we have our answer at GM. We need a new one.

They legitimately tried for DK. They offered their 3rd but didn’t want to part with their 2nd

I think that’s how this Trey deal plays out too. Are we willing to part with our 2nd this time to close the deal? Who knows

I seriously doubt the Bengals get a 1st. Don’t really see teams trading 1’s like that anymore for these guys at 30 looking for new deals

Please no. The last thing this organization needs right now is big money players on the wrong side of 30.

When we got Jared Allen--an elite pass rusher on the wrong side of 30, it made sense.  This makes no sense.

Jared Allen was closing out his career and was coming off of a season prior with 5.5 sacks. Guy didn’t have much if anything left in the tank

Trey has had 17.5 in each of the last two seasons

Yeah but that was also a very good Panthers team. This is a very bad Panthers team.

I wonder if Tepper is getting antsy after seeing us go 0-2 and now Morgan is getting desperate.

If so, we are so insanely fuged.

They preached patience all offseason. For that to change suddenly would be prime Rhule/Fitterer days.

I think Dan has had eyes for Trey all off-season. But once he double dipped on DE in the draft, he should have given that dream up. But here we are

This is all Tepper; I think this trade happens

David Tepper, Jim Caldwell, Dom Capers, Dan Morgan….the folks from the disasters are all the top thinkers still at BoA.

Giving up Cade Mays would be comically stupid given our depth at center and Corbett's injury history.

Mays is valuable to us. He is of very limited value elsewhere.

Not sure I would call including him as "stupid."
