Let's fn go Tommy!

One step closer to a healthy 1st string for opening day.

Hopefully nothing goes astray tonight.

This is one of the most fortunate preseasons I can remember in terms of injuries.

Hopefully this bodes well and continues into the season.

We don't say this type of thing out loud. We quietly enjoy it.

Thought JT really had a chance to take his job but instead it looked like we missed Tremble quite a bit out there. Glad to have him back and sad at the same time somehow lol.

I think they just play different rolls. Run formations is tremble passing downs is JT. Running a two TE set can be helpful too and it’s not like Tommy is terrible at running routes. I think we’re just better with them both

Mitchell has been our best TE, as far as I've seen. The more I think about it, the more I think we go into Tuesday with 4 TE's on the roster.

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
