Plummer was not as reliable as Perkins. He connected on just seven of his 14 throws for 48 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Walton and Tarquin allowed six pressures apiece.

 

Worst of the defense

24. DL Jaden Crumedy: 45.6

25. CB Tre Swilling: 36.6

26. S Isaac Gifford: 32.1

27. ILB Bam Martin-Scott: 30.1

Gifford was saddled with a team-worst 31.0 coverage grade. He allowed two receptions for 53 yards on two targets.

Moehrig basically straight up said during his 2nd half sideline interview that Ransom should be the other starting safety. The reporter asked for his feedback on the situation and Ransom was the only name he mentioned saying that he'd been looking great and doing everything he needs to do.

Well, we didn't have 1st team/starters on either side of the ball make bottom five rankings.

Could be because they did not play . . .

Heard someone say on a podcast, “watch Ransom is going to become their Kurt Coleman”. Can’t remember the podcast. Maybe Processing blue with mike kaye or something.

Hell, I said it may be the game thread. Bryce P. already looked better than Plummer, if not Dalton. With some time in the system, he should easily be a decent backup.

Cam Jackson showed hella speed when he was out there. I was surprised by it actually.

There's for sure some hope with the young players on the roster. But we've had young promising talent before and squandered it. Let's see how the coaching staff positions them for success going forward. That's all that will matter.

It seems like a no-brainer.

So I can only assume Evero will screw this decision up.

Ransom is a DUDE.  Always was for the Buckeyes, still is.  

Was my favorite safety in the draft...and we never end up landing the skill position players I like.  

Tudthumping run stuffing, tough as nails, drive killer type who communicates well between snaps.

I didn’t listen to his interview, as I had the volume down, but that is awesome.  I’m kind of hyped about safety bc I think Richardson is also a helluva player in his own right.
