Xavier Watts playing great for ATL. Another player the Huddle majority was wanting

We also have a really good rookie S. Watts would have gotten the same treatment, ie not starting over Nick Scott

Will they still do a halftime after all this or will they just do halftime as if it's in between quarters and take a long commercial break?

That's a solid take. Just take a 2 minuet commercial break and call it halftime

The wildest thing about Bryce to me is that he really was the near consensus #1 QB available that year and I went back and watched a LOT of gameplay and came back saying "HOW?!" I'm watching receivers getting wide ass open and Bryce floating wounded ducks down the field and I'm like what is everyone seeing in this QB that I'm missing because I'm not seeing anything here that will translate to the NFL.

I never saw it either.  I’m convinced he just had some masterful marketing and PR.  Because I remember them talking about if he could’ve came out after his sophomore season - the first he became the starter, he would’ve been the #1 overall pick.  And again, that was still Saban- coached teams where they had a mismatch in their favor at every fuging position, especially the line - which allowed him to run around for an hour and a half until a guy running a 4.3 finally breaks his route off, makes an easy, wide open catch and runs into the end zone.  Bryce was always hype.  I don’t know who his “team” is, but those MFs are excellent at their job.  I certainly hope he is paying them well, because they deserve it.

Then you go watch CJ Stroud slice through an HISTORICALLY good Georgia defense and it should have been an obvious pick. Even if you ranked them 1a and 1b, you go with the bigger QB with the NFL size. That pick will always baffle me. Tepper no doubt in my mind drove that Bryce pick

It wasn't just size for me. Everyone got hung up on the size but I just didn't see anything physically that translated. I didn't see good NFL scrambling speed and I thought the arm talent concern was almost as glaring as the size concern.

Anyone else just feel deflated right now?

LBs look terrible, Bryce is still making very very bad mistakes, I just forsee this being another lost season.

Hope I'm just being overly pessimistic

There was no reason to be excited. This was always gonna be how this turned out

It's hilarious fans are hanging their hat on bryce having 3 good games in two years at the end of a lost season. What about the other 33 1/4 games?

Those fans just don't want to admit that we made one of the worst trades in NFL history and picked the wrong QB. The same reason ownership just can't let go of their decision.

We need to put an end to the knock down drag out fights over this. We hope Bryce figures it out quickly but it's his third season. And it isn't just Bryce's job that's on the line here. His play affects the rest of the roster and other players careers. And it makes it even worse that our org made zero effort to put any level of competition in the QB room. We have to start being a serious franchise. It's time for new life in the QB room beginning with the upcoming draft. From there let them compete.

early but who in the upcoming class are you watching for? I know all eyez are on Arch but ive heard mixed things

    • Terrible?  No doubt he was Sunday.  Will he ever get gud?  No clue. Listening the Panther's Playbook (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3K8QW-k4du0) the guys made an excellent point:  there is no trust. Bryce isn't trusting his line, WRs or the system.  That's not good at all.  When Bryce has trust, we see what happened after the bye last year.  The biggest question is "where did the trust go?" That's something that Canales and Co. need to figure out ASAP.  Look, I think Bryce is a nice guy, and I'm glad he's generationally wealthy.  But I want my Panthers to succeed.  If he's the guy to do it, great.  If not, be the guy we need to help us get that top 5 pick.
    • I'm surprised by the grades for Turk + Moehrig because during the game they seemed to always be in on a tackle before Turk left the game. Bryce's grade surprises me as well, but seeing some PBLK grades... Corbett - 27.7 Nijman - 38.4 Chuba - 27.1 Dowdle - 14.0 Thank goodness for the guards and TMo. TEs did okay in PBLK as well, but their RBLK grades were horrible (Tremble 34.5, JT0 56.4). TMo had a rough RBLK grade as well (48.8).
    • Solid is stretching it.  Rozeboom frustrated the hell out of Rams fans.  Not as bad as Reeder, but close.  LB was a known issue going into this week and it showed in a huge way.  And Wallace was a high ceiling but super raw LB prospect.   Moehrig's slipups were surprising.   But yeah, Evero's playcalling and personnel deployment is super annoying.  He likes playing light in the box which is nonsense given who we brought into our front-7.
