He looked way better than the start of last season. Just two throws i blame on him, throwing to XL in traffic instead of using his feet and not throwing a catchable ball on 4th and 1. Pff agrees.

As much as I want to gnash my teeth and say that he's not going to make it, there's some wisdom in your observations. There was less to really blame on Bryce than we want to. He wasn't great, but he wasn't the reason we lost that game.

Our o-line wasn't working well. Corbett couldn't make the snaps and was ass as a blocker. Our back-up LT wasn't prepared for the ferocious (really???) Jacksonville pass rush. We weren't getting much push from the line in the running game, once again lacking at center and LT.

Our receivers could NOT get open to save themselves. And when they did make a catch, it was tackle and down.

But our offense really didn't lose that game. Our defense did. Our defense may suck worse than it did last season and it's glaringly obvious that it has been poorly coached, poorly built and poorly used once it is out on the field.

And Bryce, well, he doesn't play defense. But then again, not sure many of our players can.

At some point this season I hope I can say Bryce Young is why we won a game that mattered, and not just that he isn't the reason we lost a game. This is a third year pro, not a backup, and we've invested a ton into this offense... Including him.

I'd say trade for picks but we can't draft.

See Bryce Young.

See Xavier Legette.

See Jonathan Mingo.

See Tet McMillan.

See Icky.

The problem ain't the players.

If we can package Bryce and Legette to Miami for draft picks and maybe someone on defense it should be done immediately.

You know Josh Allen plays end right?

The proverbial no, not that Josh Allen, the other Josh Allen, right? The guy who posted 0 tackles/ 0 assisted tackles, no sacks, no forced fumbles, no INTs for the game, right?

I know he's supposed to play end but he was a non factor.

This is Canales second season. He has officially coached 1 season and 1 game. He made Bryce look decent for a bit. At some point, you have to cut bait with Bryce.

I think Morgan has been digging his way out of a hole forced on him to trade up in 2023 to get Bryce. Tepper wanted his guy, GM and coach be damned. That's on Tepper, not Morgan. Trying to work around that isn't easy and we still deal with the repurcussions.

I'd be fine keeping Canales if we do decide to move on from Bryce. I think he could be a great Head Coach, given a QB with the right measurables. Defensive development takes time and unfortunately we traded up to get Bryce when we had a roster unready for a rookie QB, and then we traded away assets that would have been used to build a core of talent.

I think Tepper gave Canales the window to move on from BY last season after 2 games and end the BY experiment.

I think Morgan for whatever reason wouldn't part w/ the QB HE drafted with Fitterer and it cameback to screw Canales.

I don't see how Tepper can essentially treat Canales like a brand new start/era in year 3 at this point.  Bryce got tied to him this year.

This is a silly comment. In reality he benched Bryce and was never going back to him.  Dalton got hurt and they were forced to play Bryce.  Bryce played "well enough" to get another chance.  He is stinking his second chance up and he is probably on thin ice as it is.

There's zero reason to bench Bryce Young again. If he's not going to be the answer to help us win games then he needs to be part of the reason why we lose enough to secure a high enough draft pick to get the QB who can.

Not benching Bryce and starting Dalton would lose the locker room for DC.  The players respect and play harder for Dalton
