WR drops

Remember when Ted Gin would drop TD passes and we were all like shucks, laughed and said try it again?

I couldn't care less about winning at this point, just make it watchable and semi-competent. It's such a low bar to have to clear.

We all just realize that with Bryce the window for error is so small. Every missed opportunity for a big play is massive because there's only gonna be a couple a game.

it was just clarifying some confusion, there have been about 48 billion posts made by some Bryce apologist that WRs dropped balls and let Bryce Young down (and that's why we sucked).

So it was just clarifying the WRs had no drops, and the QBs that did see a drop....it didn't ruin their teams day.

Drops are far from the only measure of WR play. Having no drops doesn't make XL a good blocker or route runner.

didn't say it was.  Just addressing the billion posts about drops.

being wide open over the top doesn't mean much either if your QB can't get the ball out there properly.

All bryce needs to win games is for every other player on both offense and defense to play perfect,  its really not his fault that every other player on the team is not a probowl player, he is an awesome qb everyone else just needs to play at 200% so everyone can see how great bryce is ahahahahah

Only 4 NFL Quarterbacks Sunday had WRs drop passes on Sunday.

Allen, Rodgers, Tua, and Lawrence.

3 of those 4 QBs walked away with wins.

This is cherry picking in the same way that Bryce apologists are bringing up random pff stats to say he was good.  There were clearly plenty of plays left on the field by receivers.  The XL not getting 2 feet in while catching the ball 5 yards from the sideline should count as a drop imo, and there were a handful of other plays to be had that good wrs make.

    • I’ll see what Dan’s picks do this year but if it’s another lackluster class, we’re cooked, probably the biggest reason this team has suck for so long is the guys we’ve had at GM  bust and failed trades left and right
    • The more you look ahead Look ahead to the future son You realize the shrimp is gone And there’s plenty little fish beyond That boy fluttered like Bubba in Vietnam So run, run, run Forest, run Bryce Young sucks, just look beyond -Napoleon
    • Honestly, 2020 and 2021 were the years we sat on our asses like idiots. First being 2020.  Love may have been the one we missed out on with a trade down or a trade up from our 2nd pick.  And Hurts was a totally viable 2nd rounder to take a flier on after going DB. Love in particular was one of those top guys pre-college season, but he had a lot of TOs his last year and some iffy decision making pegged him back by scouts. If we hired a staff with a decent plan and vision (instead of Rhule and whatever he wanted to do) willing to groom him behind a vet, that may have been the money bet.  2021, it was Fields.  We could've tried him on for size, even if it didn't work, it would have put us in position to draft a QB in 2024. It all sucks.  We chased.
