Could probably get Jameis for pennies

I'd be for making a move for someone like Jameis or Howell and here's why... they've shown they can produce they've just had turnover issues. So bring them in so that we can better evaluate the rest of our offensive roster. If they fix their turnover issues then maybe we're not completely desperate for QB heading into the draft. If they don't, then we're gonna keep losing anyway so whatever.

Just ignore that it's already been explained to get triggered by a college team you don't like.

Upside: it wouldn't take much to be better than Young and help build up or evaluate the other guys on the roster.

Downside: they still are not very good so lots of turnovers and not many more wins.

How long they go before having this conversation is what I want to see. Was it even ever on the list of allowed actions too. It looks like today, NE and maybe Miami if they are as bad as they appear are the only games they have a chance at winning so it's never going to be about the wins. I never liked Jamis but even he brings more to the table than what we got. Not sure on Howell but it's hard to belive anyone is worse than what they have on the roster currently.

The only time Sanders looked good was against our camp bodies.

Not exactly true. I read in several places how Sanders looked like he may be the best out of the bunch during the Browns training camp. Minimally, many Browns fans and analysts were saying that he deserved more reps.

I don’t think Morgan and Canales were planning on winning a lot of games, they’re still in re-build mode. They will let Bryce play out this season and evaluate him afterwards. Only problem with replacing him is I don’t really see much talent in college.

The 2026 QB class is expected to be deep.

See, I don't even see that as a downside. If they came here and didn't fix their turnover issues we'd still keep losing but actually have a better ability to evaluate our other offensive skill position players.

    • Looking like it might be game 7 for Pitt and Phi. Philly is spent. I like more rest for the canes
    • Moton is the man through and through. 2 things I'll always give Gettleman credit for, 1 is drafting Moton, the other is building a SB contending roster and blowing it up in one off-season
    • Kurb is still alive and well.  I’m still friends with him on all of the social media.  He truly is a great man!  That’s my bro!  He always looked out for me since the early days of the huddle.  It definitely makes me sad that he just quit posting here, but that’s life.  He still shares his takes on social media and X, but a lot of the huddle vets just grew tired of this format and the environment, I guess?  It’s a lot of guys that were valuable contributors here that just stopped posting but are still alive and passionate Panthers fans.  Blindsite used to post huge write-ups and was a well-respected poster and then just disappeared.  We had one of these type threads several years ago and he checked back in and explained he just lost the motivation to stay active here.  It was amazing hearing from him again…   I signed up in 04 after coming over from the Charlotte.com boards and been here ever since.  (For those that don’t know - this is Proudiddy - had to change the name very recently due to ‘ol tootsie roll penis and the bad press 😂).  I’m forever thankful for all of you, even those who I haven’t had the greatest history with, I still appreciate yall.  Many have come and gone, both figuratively and literally, and that has put a lot into perspective over the years.  I went from a young, newly married, wide-eyed twenty year-old guy with a baby on the way, to a now forty-two year-old guy, recently divorced and newly re-married guy with my oldest baby now an adult and 5 more kids since.  And what ride it has been!  You guys have been a much bigger part of my life than I really care to acknowledge.😂
