Terrible start to the game, meh first half, Bryce started to play better in 2nd half but mostly was taking what the D gave him, until the 2nd to last drive when IMO he had some great throws. But when the pressure was on to actually take the lead, he folded pretty hard. Indecisive with the ball, took multiple sacks/had an intentional grounding, got bailed out by the Zebras a couple times

What I was coming on to say, except Bryce's fumble-6 and pick were pretty back breaking.

What was getting me at the end was how there was no plan to move the ball in that last drive.  We had 50 yards, and only really moved with penalties.  Did anyone have a catch (forgive me, that last drive took 4 hours lol)?

For me, I feel less bad since we tried to fight back.  Bryce did battle back, BUT he still didn't deliver.  Canales did not call a particularly good offensive game.  His seat needs to be hot, and I'm find letting Bryce deliver us a new QB and coach.

I don't quite think that is the case, I just think Bryce stopped being decisive with where he was going with the ball.  He was throwing into tight windows on the last drive, too.

I won’t doubt he made some nice throws, but the cards D in the first half were doing some crazy blitzes and mixing up stunts and coverages, after the half they stopped. Rushed four probably 98% of the time. To me, any qb could have performed well in that situation. They had Bryce in a blender the first half and then just stopped. Like I said, he did make some nice throws, that last TD to Renfrow on the 1 was sweet, not gonna lie.

Exactly just miserable fuging weirdos

If you speak honestly and realistically about the starting QB once again playing like ass when the game matters you're a "miserable fuging weirdo". But if you create a thread asking why the defense can't win the game for us while making absolutely no mention of the QB's horrific play in the first half you're a true fan.

That's some wild logic. But hey have fun living in alternate dimension.

As soon as it really mattered we went right back to choking. Had like 10 plays there at the end and didn't get a single completion with 1:50 on the clock and a timeout

Yup, FIVE incompletions, an intentional grounding and a sack all the while aided by encroachment, defensive offsides, defensive holding and roughing the passer calls.

Cardinals  were down multiple  defenders by the 4th quarter and Bryce was as indecisive  as I have ever seen with 50 yards to go. I know the special  teams room is hot!! It is extremely  hard to recover an onside kick... and  to basically  do nothing with it, is demoralizing!!!

XL should be able to make those plays...

But yeah I agree... I dont know why he didn't go to TMac more. I'd probably just feed him all day if it's 1 on 1 1.

Should he though?  Why?

He's 6'1" with bad hands, nothing about him says "jump ball guy" other than him being jacked and thinking he'll be able to out muscle the defender, but that's not going to be enough in the NFL with his height and hands.

But yes, if we're ever inside the 10 yard line (and maybe even the 20) and T-Mac gets 1 on 1 coverage without a safety anywhere near over top of them, then we should be calling an audible and throwing it up to him, every single time.  Sure, if he has one of the true Top 5 elite CB's on him, maybe it's not an "every single time" type of thing then, but even in those instances, he still needs to get a target or two on that series.

    • You’re right. I was thinking of the GB game with the silly reach for the goal line when he wasn’t close that turned into a goal line fumble. I do remember all the discussions in here about end of the game interceptions and bad passes, etc. but that wasn’t against the Chiefs. That said, still the best season by a QB since Cam. Best 4 game run was Darnold to start 2021, but best full season was Teddy. That makes me really sad.
    • Agreed. I think they never seriously considered him an option even though he was/is miles better than Darnold.  I think the ego stuff was massively overplayed. He was played for the Browns, a disaster organization, and he accomplished more than they have in years. He came here to another diaster organization that happened to be worse than Cleveland and he didn't succeed. But, how could he? Frankly, who the fug could? I think our general fanbase really underestimates how terrible this organization truly is. It can nuke anyone.  poo, you see how Stroud is struggling with a damn good Texans team? Can you imagine how bad he would be here in our circumstances?? He can thank his lucky stars we made the choice we did.
    • I think the vast majority of QBs only thrive or die based on their situations. But some are capable of making everyone else around them better in a way they redefine, or at least elevate, those situations. And some of the former group also just never will really have "it" when the moment matters. So far it feels like Bryce either needs the perfect situation or he just doesn't have "it". I suppose we'll get the season to see if that changes, but to call me skeptical is an understatement.
