I believe…We WIN this weekend.

I was just thinking back to the 2nd season of the Rhule disaster.  The Panthers went 3-0 to start the season, and Fitterererer, and Rhule starting trading for players 'to make a playoff run'.  LOL.  They ended up winning 2 more games the rest of the year and finished with a 5-11 record.  I don't know why that just popped in my head.  Maybe because that was the last time the Panthers had a winning record.

I believe after this Sunday.....my wife will once again, realize the Panthers stink......and therefore she will not let me get away with watching Sunday football if she has better "plans" for us.

my Saturday afternoons are also now in jeopardy as well but there is still some hope there.

I’m just not seeing it. Falcons are better than the previous two teams we faced and the Panthers unlike most teams do not really play better at home than on the road

Atlanta is worse than both. Jacksonville and Arizona are both in position to make a run for their divisions this year. You really consider Raheem Morris and Michael Penix a greater threat?

Falcons tend to be front-runners and fade a bit as the season goes on. I think it's because they know they are the 4th fiddle in their own town behind the Braves, UGA and SEC football in general, and it all ends up getting in their heads when they start to fall off. I expect them to be playing with some passion and intensity this Sunday.

    • It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?
    • I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.
    • K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
