You can point fingers are whatever you want, but calling a run on 3rd and 15 is not the move in my opinion no matter who your QB is.  You don't just give up.

If you’ve watched the entire game you realize that everything over 10 yards has either been high, behind the receiver or both.  If you’ve watched are denying the fact that the play calling is limited due to a limited QB you are not being fair to yourself or the coach

No one else is coming here to coach under this fuging idiot owner.

and honestly, yeah, running the ball on 3rd sucks, but they’re doing it because they know Bryce can’t do what is required to efficiently pass on 3rd down.  Have you questioned, is it possible, Bryce is still out there because of a directive from ownership?  Because why WOULDNT he have already pulled him with his job riding on the line?  Every fuging drive that half, Bryce killed it.  Any coach with two eyes sees it.  And every drive, iirc, crossed midfield.  Bryce’s mistakes once we crossed midfield ended the drives.  So play calling wasn’t the issue.  And I don’t really feel strongly one way or another about Canales, but again, play calling wasn’t the issue.  Calling runs are third down and while we are down 22 points is because they know Bryce will make it worse and/or they’re being forced to play him and are making a statement.

Canales is an offensive coordinator and WR coach. He is not HC material!!!

to add to this: he was an OC for one season and the team he left actually got better once he did

Also I'm pretty sure we were his only HC interview

    • After some of the calls last year probably won't see much of a drop off

Resisting changes that would actually incentivize good performance and not seniority based systems. What a bunch of donkeys. Hope the replacements straight up take their jobs and never give them back. Sick of watching refs script games with no repercussions.
    • Donovan seems like highest risk to me. Lloyd and May have already established relationships with all these kids. There’s probably guys hitting the portal that they recruited from HS. And then there’s the possibility of transferring their own guys from their current teams. They’ve also been recruiting the HS kids for like the next 5 years already. Look at the Iowa coach who hit the ground running by transferring all his guys from his D2 program. Or going across sports to Cignetti transferring all his JMU guys year one then building off that to a national title year 2. Donovan is starting from square one having been in the NBA so long and he’s already 60. So you’re potentially punting year 1 for a guy you are just hoping to be a 10 year hire while you figure out how to actually develop your next home grown 20yr guy. That’s 1/10th of the time you have him, more or less at best. The hope would be that he would find some high level assistants who have been working the college recruiting trails already, but then are you giving up his ideal staff just to get a foothold in recruiting and transfers. Think Belichick year one was bad? Imagine how much worse it would be without Steve Belichicks transfer portal pulls. Hoping Mays or Lloyd are all they’re cracked up to be.
