I also like how all of these people keep trying to make Bryce’s shortcomings an organizational failure.  Don’t get me wrong, the organization is f*cked.  But, even with Baker, Sam, and PJ, as impotent as our dysfunction made them look, they still had flashes.  They still won more.  They still competed in a fair amount of games.  With Bryce, the vast majority of these games are over as soon as they begin.  It’s him.  He is THE problem.

I really wish they would quit pissing away entire seasons sticking with him.  Because I promise you, if Andy was playing, everyone would be posting their “well, I’ll be damned” takes.  It would blow you away how suddenly solid our entire team would look with a functional NFL QB.

Whew buddy that's rough.

You can assess all the factors with the team this is truly a bad franchise but at the same time the lack of flashes or elevating anyone around him at any level is impossible to ignore. Go to Andy or Hendon and just roll with that for the rest of the season good and bad. Either of them will poo the bed too sooner or later but at least we will try to move the ball downfield and actually see who is and is not worth keeping around developmentally.

And let's point out the key word in this...FUNCTIONAL. Not good, not great...just functional. Thats all we are asking because people will deliberately misconscrew what you said like you are saying dalton is gonna take us to the promise land or something. We just want to see a offense operate on a nfl level.

Can't believe he's above Mike Glennon. It's been a while but I remember him being solid in Tampa.

I remember the same but Mike was not a “franchise QB”. So I think it’s because my view of him is relative to expectation.

The fact that BY has this comparable stat to Mike Glennon is pitiful.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
