Canales in his press conferences

Has anyone noticed his behavior in these press conferences? He was like this last year, but it’s worse this year. I can’t tell if he’s pissed, annoyed, anxious, stressed, or what. It’s almost like he’s trying to be overly sincere but instead it’s coming out as dismissive and insecure. I don’t know I watched the one today and it jumped out at me.

Probably just looking forward to another Monday team meeting with BigDaddyDave.

He's probably both dreading possibility of being fired and grappling with the emotions of admitting that he'd be relieved if it happened.

He might get another shot somewhere. All he has to do is put he worked for Dave Tepper on his resume and got 8 figures for a year and a half worth of "work". They'll probably consider him a genius.

I feel for the man. This might have been a job too big for him. Fixing Bryce, and then getting this organization back right is a tall task.  I know he’s gotta be dealing with Tepper, and Tep looks like a man that comes down hard and has a sharp tongue. I know he dreads those one on ones.

Probably on a PIP like us corporate folks go through, and if you’re on that, it’s only a matter of time before the hammer comes. Said he could do such and such, knowing he really couldn’t; like saying you were proficient at excel, knowing you weren’t really that good at it. Hope he doesn’t relapse

PIP=We don’t want you here anymore but don’t have a reason to fire you yet, so we hope you quit but just in case we are going to give you a lot of impossible tasks that we will frame as measurable (but really aren’t) and document that we talked to you about it to cover our asses with HR.

Yeah he probably got an NFL version of that.

-Make Bryce MVP

-Win Super Bowl

- Win COY

”Now let’s talk about this every Monday morning until I fire you when Scott Fowler or Joe Person writes an article in December.”
