That's always been a cringy part of this story

He only wrote like 20% of it, and “writing” is a stretch. Almost all of it is Izzy’s and it reads like a screenplay treatment. Or like she’s describing what she imagined the story would like as a movie. Neither of them is writing great gatsby any time soon.

The book was published by some scammy self financed author company so he had to put up the money himself for her to publish it. You get the sense this was a “sorry i cheated on you” gift. Izzy wants to become an evangelical motivational speaker and needs a book to be able to sell after her speeches.

The big takeaways were…

1. There’s powerful “yeah I DID do this and only this and I am so sorry for doing this, the only thing I did” energy in the story. It’s clearly not all he did.

2. Izzy baby girl what is you doing

3. Dave is a colossal asshole (spending money at strip clubs while his wife can’t afford groceries) and in all of the parts he “wrote” he comes across as weird and full of himself.

4. something very clearly happened between Dave and someone on the staff from Seattle and it’s probably Brad Idzik. It is alluded to several times because the book wasn’t edited so there’s lots of different fragments of the same story.

He might get another shot somewhere. All he has to do is put he worked for Dave Tepper on his resume and got 8 figures for a year and a half worth of "work". They'll probably consider him a genius.

recent history says, college has no problem with David Tepper nightmares to come work in the semi pro league of college football.  Rhule and Frank HCs.

When I googled this, the first result was a huddle thread…lol.

None of it is explicitly stated but there are multiple moments during his story where I was like “excuse me what?”

and then at one point Izzy recalls yelling in a fight and making some comment about how much Dave loves cigars with the guys but like it’s said in a way that would stop a dinner party

like…..it’s cringey

I am not there with firing him as long as he only has had Bryce to work with. I won’t rant against it if it happens but thisnisn’t a fair opportunity for anyone.
I know the arguments for it no need to try and convince me, I need to see him fail with a good QB.

Yeah I understand the continuity argument, but he got thoroughly outcoached by Liam Coen.

Continuity is how we got Hurney picking Rhule for Tepper, year 3 of Rhule, Fritterer's 23 draft & coaching staff and the dynamic duo of Morgan and DC now. We need to end the continuity and try something else. Again, maybe they get lucky.

This staff is what we got for forcing Young on the them. Fug trying to save that personally, it was always built to fail and were all bottom choices anyways. It's the NFL, if you can't prove why there should be a year three then there shouldn't be. It would be completely justifiable to walk away from all of these people given what year 2 looks like...and it's actually year 3 for some of them yikes.

He is the dumbass that got picked for Bryce and took the giant payday to do so. What has he done to earn a shot or use a top pick this offseason? I have seen him fail enough personally. He needs to spend more time as a coordinator and learn from a HC that can show him how to be a successful HC becaude nothing points to him figuring it out currently. Have you ever seen the team ready for the season under him? I sure haven't.

Old engineering saying

‘you can’t fix a bad design’

The Panthers are poorly designed

ill leave it to others as to who is the true architect of this fiasco

absolutely no idea of what they are conceptually on either side of the ball

Then , a 1 pick in the draft should have the ‘possibility’  of being a game changer, not a game manager.

hire coaches that want that game manager to go vertical without the arm velocity or receivers who have speed, and you know, the ability to actually catch the ball

drafting on athletic potential vs college film and results

go to a 3 4 defense without the personnel for it

We all know the rest

I don’t care if the Panthers somehow manage to beat the Jets and DOlphins, they do not have the right structure or people to design the foundation supporting  the house for long term success.

it is ridiculous and it is exhausting.  They need a total overhaul and they can start by putting Tillis in charge and getting rid of all the rest  (scouts, coaches, advisors) all of it

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
