Bryce Young Is a Symptom, Not the Disease

The bottom line is this: the dysfunction in Carolina didn’t start with Bryce Young, and it sure hasn’t ended with him. This is a franchise problem — years of poor drafting, weak scouting, short-sighted trades, and constant turnover. The common denominator through all of it? David Tepper. Until the culture, patience, and football operations at the top change, it won’t matter who the quarterback is.

You make a very valid point.  Only way Tepper is fired if no one goes to the game.  Then he will sell it.

Regardless of the trade and where he was picked, Bryce actively created deception. He wore a hoodie to the combine and was 15 lbs heavier because he packed on water weight because he didnt weigh near 200 lbs. He didn't participate in drills in a wide open 4 way, really 3, QB bid. Then there was all this hype over the S2 test that he had been practicing that we've never heard about in the draft process since. Does anyone think it was an accident Stroud's score on the S2 was released? Stroud said forget the score, watch his tape. Wonder why. There was a whole bunch of shady poo going on surrounding Bryce pre draft, and I for one, find it all a little too convenient.

Just my opinion, but he was a used car salesman that used some armor all and a wash n wax and maybe a set of white walls then schmoozed his way at dinner with Dave and Nicole and sold them that he was a super savant.

There was a whole lot of BS swirling around the BY hype train and he was a full fledged participant. Frank didn't want Bryce, he wanted Stroud. A new head coach does not pick a QB he has to go design a brand new offense around unless that guy is a generationaltalent, which Bryce was most definitely not. He picks the guy that best fits what he does and that was Stroud. This was Dave and Nicole's pick and they fuged this team like they've done over and over again since they've been here. They fell for use car salesman Rhule, then used car salesman Bryce and company. And the fans got stuck with the 4 years of payments on a car less reliable than Al Bundy's Dodge.

i honestly think Dan Morgan is the biggest problem on this team right now & it's pretty obvious for anyone who doesn't have blinders on to see

Dan Morgan is responsible for hiring Dave Canales & moreover without Dan Morgan then Canales is more than likely not a Panthers HC right now. Dan Morgan is responsible for not having the ability to truly evaluate Bryce Young after 2 seasons  & recongize the need to bring in an actual plan B at Qb .Dan Morgan has wasted multiple high round picks in the draft on busts or injured players. Dan Morgan was assistant GM to Scott Fitterer. Dan Morgan gutted the defense of talent in 24' for money  which he in turn spent in large part  on the oLine & by doing so it played a major factor in the Panthers having the worse defense in NFL history last season / 24'  . Dan Morgan currently has the least talented team in the NFL  25'

i could go on & oʻj but simply put Dan Morgan is incompetent at his job

& let me say this about  Dan Morgan he is a super  nice guy & I do not mean this in any type of mean way whatsoever  or to hurt anyone's feelings .it's just simply put not the right job for Dan Morgan...just saying

At this point, it is obvious

The David Tepper owned Panthers are like asking an 8 year old what they want to be when they grow up

The answer changes monthly

That’s fine for an 8 year old but not a  10 billion $$ franchise

the result is most probably the worst team in the nfl

I’ve  started watching other teams for the enjoyment of the pro game

Im not a Morgan fan either, but Im still not 100% convinced that BY and the lack of competition isn't a Tepper thing vs a Dan thing which means it's still a Dan problem. We need to upgrade our backup. Dalton was re-signed to keep Bryce comfortable, not compete for a starting job. Bryce was Tepper's draft choice through yes man Fittershits, not Reich's. I could very well be wrong, but it would appear that there' pressure coming from above Dan to give as much leash to Bryce as possible and not challenge him at all. Either he rises or he falls. Good in theory, terrible for an NFL team on an 8 year poo the bed streak.

    • Would you just fuging quit trying to make us like him? That is his job, not yours.  Thank you.
    • Rookie season being key to uour argument. I didn't at all mislead about the talent Cam had to work with. Kalil was a great center. Olsen was a great TE. Our WRs were probably the worst in the league. Cam still won MVP, we went 15-1, and we went to the SB. Your attempt to bring up Cam to defend Bryce is desperate and clownish. Bryce has more talent to work with and has done WAY less.
    • Not exactly sure that is an honest assesment of the talent he had to work with that year. Olsen had over 1100 yards that season making the PB, Stewart had close to 1100 total yards also going to the PB. He had Kalil at C who went to the PB, Trai Turner at RG who also went to the PB, and Michael Oher at LT who played well enough that the Panthers offered him a new contract the following year. I wouldn't call that a trash OL. He also played with a defense that was stacked with talent as well.   "The thing we are doing better this time around is actually surrounding our #1 overall draft pick QB with talent vs. asking him to completely carry the offense. I just hope that effort is leading us to realize that the guy isn't even good enough to get carried." Please.... Did you not read the list of names Newton had to work with his rookie season. I guess you missed it so I will post it again for you... Steve Smith (PB), Greg Olsen (PB), Brandon LaFell, Ted Ginn JR, Deangelo Williams (PB), Jonathan Stewart (PB), Jordan Grossn (PB), Ryan Kalil (PB) on the offensive side and then he had Luke Kuechly (PB), Jon Beason (PB), Thomas Davis (PB), Star Lotulelei, Kawann Short ( PB ),Charles Johnson, Greg Hardy (PB ), Mike Mitchell, Josh Norman (PB)  For comparison, here is who Young had his first year.  Chuba Hubbard, DJ Chark, Jonathan Mingo, Adam Thielen, Hayden Hurst, Ikem Ekwonu, Chandler Zavala, Bradley Bozeman, Nash Jensen and Taylor Morton. Not a single PB player on the list and most of them aren't even playing any longer. Additionally, his HC was fired during the season and the defense was as bad as the offense.  You might not like the comparison but saying Newton had to completely carry the offense isn't exactly fair to the 4 pro bowlers on offense who played with him that year.
