Woof, that's a rough list. I know UNC homers will bang the drum for Trubisky and Howell.  The Colts ain't letting Indiana Jones leave.  Again, slim pickings.

I'd take a swing on Tray Lance in a competition scenario.

When do we upgrade at QB, then? Or should we?

ding

There's enough players on this offense that you could do something with just reliable QB play and like, one extra WR.

The Panthers need a pass rusher and a ILB.

We're not trying to win a superbowl next season; we are trying to be competitive in every game. That means ditching bryce for literally anything, getting to the QB, stopping the run.

They need to play Fox Ball.

brother next season we have to make the playoffs, period full stop.

I wholeheartedly disagree with your take about the qb situation.  We know bryce aint it, send him packing in the off season, you have to draft a guy to develop and then sign some poo vet as a place holder.  Then hope and pray the talent on the team can have you competing for the south.

As someone who was at the game -

Bryce Young doesn't have the arm to make high-level throws.  He just doesn't.  It isn't worth having a discussion of if he will ever live up to what we gave up for him - he won't.  And any comparisons to Baker and Darnold are reaching; their issues were more mental than anything else.  They always had the physical talent.

There was a throw on 3rd down where Bryce rolled out and had a guy open on the sidelines, but he literally couldn't get the ball there.  It was jarring to see live.

I think Bryce will be a very good back-up in this league.  Not for us because we aren't good, but for a functional NFL franchise?  He's going to hang around this league for a long time, especially because by all accounts he's a good guy.  But he will never be a consistent top 15/20 QB.  He lacks the talent.

He does that every game, space gets tight in the pocket, or he's rolling out and being chased so he can't generate momentum with his body as easily (two situations that happen aplenty in the NFL) and the ball dies like a dead duck and skips 5 yards in front of the receiver who is 10-15 yards away. It's incredibly embarrassing to think of how much we gave up for that when it's such a common NFL play. One thing to always ask yourself about a QB pre-draft, if the interior line is losing leverage and you cannot step into your throw, can you still stand tall and deliver a strike to an out route 10 yards away? Yes or No? Bryce cannot due to his physical limitations. Obviously other things to consider at QB but that's a big one for me.

I cannot imagine how bizarre it is to watch in person, I've seen multiple people on social media talk about how underwhelming he looks in person. If that's what it took for Tepper to forever remove himself and his wife out of football decisions then maybe that'll be alright long term, but my god man, you totally jacked this franchise up with that trade.

Thank goodness Morgans draft picks are stepping up this year, because it could easily be worse than it is.

make the playoffs/be competitive in every game, same difference.

I don't understand this infatuation with drafting a guy. Two of the best QBs in the league right now are Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, on their 5th and 4th teams respectively. One of the main reasons Canales was hired was his work with a 10th year qb in Seattle. Daniel Jones is looking like he's going to be a playoff QB.

Why reach on a prospect when you can get reasonable production from elsewhere and add higher floor players at areas of need

I dont know about playoff talk haha

But based on our staff really harping on being a developmental staff, i think we do draft one regardless of if its 1st round or later. I don’t think we will just bring in a backup or fringe starter level at best vet QB and say we’re good. But it all depends on how they feel about bryce after this year. We know how we feel. But our organization does some funny things sometimes haha
