He clearly outplayed Prescott yesterday. Dak was throwing to open receivers under little pressure. 

But bryce didn't even need to throw at all for us to move the chains lol. Dallas run game was nowhere to be found. Yes Dak didn't have much pressure but he had to make some tight windows throws to put points on the board.

No he didn’t, he made maybe 3 tight window throws all game.

 

Easy to have nice stats when you have a receiver takes a 5 yard slant for a 30 yard TD.

Chris Weinke threw for almost 400 yards in a terrible performance. Passing yards are overrated! There are better passing metrics to use.

There are things that some folks will never see eye to eye on regarding our starting QB. It just is what is.

But can we all agree that the argument that Bryce Young has no weapons has been completely debunked?

really good QBs, end up with lots of yards overall.  I mean, name a really good QBs........that is consistently below league average every year in yardage (that isn't a runner as those get a little weird)? 

Bryce is below par in most avenues passing in judged.  Not just total yardage.  Comp % is really low.  Bad throw % is really high.

Debunked isn’t the right term, that would imply it was a false statement which it was not until this season. The word you’re looking for is “changed”. He’s played 6 games with average NFL talent around him and is 3-3 now. Not good enough imo, but let’s see if we can keep the momentum and learn to play on the road. He can’t be a franchise QB if he never overcomes whatever mental jitters he’s somewhat figured out how to quell at home.

Bryce showed up when he needed to, and that's all I can ask for at this point. We are a running team, and BY is showing that he can manage the game

I think that's fair considering what we trotted out again the Patriots and Coker hasn't played yet. If you want to say above average, that's fine go for it. My statement is the same, need to see more from him and command of the O on the road.

I can't get with this logic that we have average talent. The tale of woe is a beaten horse here. Downplaying Bryce playing well in spurts across a lot of bad games in 35 career outings is bad. But it's perfectly fine to downplay others around him. Let's try to be consistent here. Expectations should at least match. It's up to Bryce as a 3rd year #1 overall pick to maximize the talent around him at least some of the time. We need to see it because we cannot expect things to go perfectly and there will be times where he will have to takeover games. And yes he and the rest of the team absolutely need to play much much better on the road. We'll see this Sunday. I don't think the Jets are going to be a cakewalk as some seem to be suggesting.
