Let's call a spade a spade here: Bryce haters are convinced that there is nothing he can do to ever be an NFL QB because he's too small. Bryce "stans" see that the kid can play despite his physical limitations and that the team around him is still being put together. Only one of these groups is pretending that they know the future

To focus back on this - it is explicitly the case that if you think Bryce will improve in the future regardless of the circumstances (better team / coaching / development) you are also predicting the future.

I still maintain the only difference between so called haters and stans is just how much they think Bryce could realistically improve based on existing play.

I do think if we reframed all these discussions into "have you seen enough to give him a 5th year extension already" you'd find near complete agreement from fans lol

Spiral? I haven't seen any spiral, just some pushback on another Bryce-is-really-good-if-he-had-a-team thread.

Yeah was a bit hyperbolic.  Just find it funny yet again, we're talking about who is genuine and virtuous in their opinions on Bryce.

If this place remains a raging hellscape of idiotic hot takes I will happily remove myself again and do something more productive for yet another decade, but maybe's there hope that we can all get back to the old adage, and keep pounding.

you pissed me off when you wrote your good bye letter 10 years ago.  This board needs your insight.  You need to join in from time to time. You do read the post's.

Glad for this post.

Oh I for sure went into a thread where folks were talking poo about Bryce after a win to troll them about CJ the same way they try to troll about Bryce after every game. It's not like I hadn't made good faith attempts to engage previously.

If the best effort I'm going to get from folks is trolling then... well... that's all they're going to get. Sucks, because I'd love to have an actual conversation, but that requires the other side to want to have a conversation as well. I could take some accountability I suppose... but I'll follow the lead of others and say that it's because the team isn't good and not because of conscious choices I'm making. 😉

I mean, sometimes you just want a true franchise guy who lifts the team on his shoulders and wills the team to win with his play, especially when it matters. That's apparently too much to ask for after 34 games if I listen to some Huddlers. I don't know how Bryce will end up, no more so than anyone else, but I'm tired of being on 9's struggle bus after so many games.

Here's the thing and I'll disclose a bit of inside baseball here...

We have a mod only forum where we discuss matters, posters, etc. Everyone was ready to pull the plug on you and I was the lone holdout. Ah, give him a chance. He contributes to conversations when he isn't being a troll and maybe he'll come around. Since you're here outright admitting that you plan to just continue trolling. I'm done. You ran out of runway.

Just for the sake of full transparency.

The thing is other players have been drafted to shifty rosters and you can see with little doubt that they have a bright future.
I loved that game on Sunday and said so in several places. And said it was the QBs beat game to date.
At the same time is it not true that that pass defense was ranked 32 of 32. So yes there was good and better execution but I don’t see why the book is written. At all.
The term haters is a really bad use of thw word too.
Skeptics. Non believers. Doubters That sort of stuff ia not prejudicial and inflammatory.
thwy know that it is another instance of them doing stuff they claim they aren’t doing Do it and won’t own it - bad look and it undermines their credibility

We win 2 games largely due to historic rushing from our backup RB we signed in free agency and now the huddle is regarded as the most toxic place on the internet because not everyone shares the same opinion that Bryce Young has proven himself to actually be a long term starting QB yet.

This place was just as ugly through the prime Cam years. People complained about him even when he was producing and we were winning the division. Things were just as ugly through the Jake years. Sometimes people would get so irate and fed up with him they would literally be calling for his head.

How about we just give eviscerating one another a breather and see how this team and Bryce look on the road. Nothing anyone can say is going to make a difference until then.

You guys are soooo sensitive.

Pretty sure the OP wasn't posting a "Bryce-is-really-good-if-he-had-a-team thread".

I mean, are you saying that on the offensive side of the ball that the rest of the team is sh¡t?

It's nice that Bryce finally didn't dig us into a hole that we had to get out of, or simply die in on a Sunday.

As someone who has watched the game in earnest for damned near 50 years, I may not know what it takes to spot a QB that's going to succeed--and, yes, success is relative--but I know when I see one that's not good enough without Herculean efforts by others.

This is what gets me with the byoung supporters .  yes the panthers can win with him he just needs another player to carry him.  he isnt building up anyone on the team.  Byoung is not going to ever be anything but a lower tier qb thats b/c he doesnt have the physical ability to be more.  will the panthers win a few games here and there yes just enough to keep them from picking a high qb but they will never succeed win playoff games with byoung.
