Where do you fall on the Bryce Young spectrum?

  1. 1. It's been so spirited for so long, let's draw some lines in the sand. Where do you fall on the Bryce spectrum?

    • Full-on fan - He is our Franchise QB, present & future
    • The door is still open for him being the answer
    • The door is closed barring a major run
    • Nope, he's not the answer - Doesn't matter what he does

I think the door is closed barring a major run mainly because of where we are at the end of this year. We have some decisions to make and unless there is a major improvement in Bryce, we have seriously consider moving on. I'm all for giving him the opportunity to make those improvements, mind you. At the minimum, at the end of this year, we need to move on from Dalton and bring in a serious backup QB that fits DC's offensive schemes.

that would be a compromise for both sides.  Bring in some real competition and let it go from there, dont pick up the 5th put some real heat on bryce.

It will never happen but I think everyone would be satisfied that they at least addressed the situation

In that situation, if he were to breakout in the 4th year after we didn't pick up the option.  I would be completely okay with that.  We basically lose out on 1 year at 26 million but give out a big contract one year earlier.  Hypothetically, I have no issue with that being given to a franchise QB.

1000%   Its a calculated gamble that really isnt going to backfire IMO.  Say he does, its basically eating 25 million if his eventual deal lands around 50ish.   But even if he "balls" out next year (always next year) no way I am comfortable handing him a 4/5 year deal

In reality I think if you dont pick up the 5th you are basically telling everyone its over

It's not closed yet but it's half ajar. I'm not sure there is an answer.

I sorta get it, but I'm keeping this as is.

3rd option is where you sound to be.  It can be opened.  Don't see enough disparity between the two/would only muddy the poll.

He has shown he can pull off some high end throws and be clutch in some situations. He has been really inconsistent and turnovers are his biggest issue. I think his turnovers are mostly happenning due to his size and not being able to see the field clearly in a condensed pocket.

I think he will be an NFL starter in this league for awhile if he can find the right situation and staff. I am not certain if Canales can be that guy for Bryce, but we have seen some positive signs with this, such as week 18 last year and week 6 this year.

I don't put much stock in year 1. It seems like that coaching staff was a mess and I don't know if they just didn't want Bryce, but I get the impression they didn't even try to make it work with him.

The tl,dr version of this is simply, I think he has the potential to be a better player than Sam Darnold currently is. I think the most likely scenario is he finds success on another team.

I chose door number 3. I have to say, based on what i have viewed on videos from the team; they seem firmly behind him and I do not get the sense that they are ready to move on. For me as a fan, I want to see a large framed, big armed guy with some wheels who can tuck it and go to really stress that defense out. I enjoy that style of football, mistakes and all. Having said all that; Bryce young is my QB and as long as he is;  i am going to root for him.

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. • This is why we need the Bank of America Stadium Ballroom.
    • That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
