Okay, he needs to keep this up. Maybe I need to go watch some Jenks video but Brown is dominant right now.

Jenkins was a more of a pass rushing threat on a more consistent basis. He wasn't the physical freak DB is.

DB has a much higher ceiling. He just needs to keep getting better and keep dominating.

I loved the guy and was really pissed when he was traded (wasn’t he traded?) And it took us until Gettleman to seriously address the position. Which got me to loving Gettleman out of the gate.

He could use some pass rush help right now so he can't be triple team at least. That crap pisses me off.

This is why I think Brown might actually be the better of the two. The DL Jenkins played on was beastly. HOFer Peppers on one end, good starter Rucker on the other, and good starter Buckner was probably the weakest link. The opposing OL couldn't focus on Jenkins near as hard as they can on Brown.

What? You weren't thrilled with the Sione Fua/Terrell McClain combo?

That's a fair point. Also not benefiting from the defensive scheme either, IMO.

I think Jaycee is already the best CB ever to wear a Panthers jersey. yes Josh had one legendary season. Jaycee has been superb every single game he's healthy

DB is so so under appreciated. He is so disruptive in both the run game and pass game. He regularly rag dolls very good offensive linemen.

Both easily start on the Panthers all time defense

Jaycee can be. Multiple years playing at the level he is now and I will agree. Josh Norman was awesome.

Horn is a fuging baller.  And funny, prolly half the board wanted to get rid of him before the extension.

I think folks were just scared by the injury history. It’s basically chance. I feel like teams don’t have much of a choice but to resign their own draft picks but it feels like a big leap of faith when a guy has a lot of injuries.

    • If we don't extend him, there is no way another team would offer him more than a one year $10m prove it deal lol.
    • He isn’t but looking at what those guys are getting paid, paying him what he’s making now wouldn’t have been terrible, they should have and still should be looking at pairing some guys with brown to form a pretty dominant d line
    • The Bryce hate is nearly laughable.  He looked like garbage the first two games, but has really, really shown improvement and growth.  People who know football are taking notice.  Will Bryce ever be Arron Rodgers, Farvre, Manning or any other hotshot gunslinger?  No, but I think he is a smart football player who has survived a lot more than most other QB's would have after 2.5 years.  So long as this injury doesn't linger I think you will see legitimate growth over the next two years, with a big leap coming next season. Reich and Brown not working together, Duce causing trouble behind the scenes.  Starting WR's of Mingo and Chark.  No legitimate scheme for the OL.  Fitterer's general incompetence. An owner who was desperate for attention.  How did Zac Wilson, Mariota, Winston, Tribuski, Rosen, Lawarence, Fields, Jones, Pickett, and Richardson fair after 2.5 years?  We see what happens when the Texans have not given Stroud the support. The 2018 draft had great talent, they just needed to mature, hell we wasted two of the top three drafted that year.  Outside of Allen, Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow, or Drake Maye, I'm not sure I really would want any other 1st round QB drafted in the past 10 years? RELAX......  Bryce is our guy as we grow as a team.  The only other option I currently see is maybe a buy low draft pick on Drew Allar if he falls to the third round or lower. Bryce is going to be extended.  He won't get Prescott money which would benefit our team going forward.  A mid range extension like Darnold or Baker got may be just the thing this team needs to keep growing.
