A non-CTE Tua wouldn't be atrocious. But, it isn't a guy I want a Tua sized contract attached to.

ive said it before and I will say it again, since his hip injury he has lost some zip on his passes, couple that with his concussions and its probably best to let another team deal with that

I am not advocating for Tua just saying a non-mushed Tua isn't the worst case scenario for Bryce as a ceiling.

But it's also not a top 10 contract player nor a player worth the price we paid to get him.

Tua only worked when he had two elite #1 WRs.

2 more years 🤣   Is he going to get bigger in those 2 years?  Is he going to fix his mechanics in 2 years?  His flaws are unfixable.  And I seriously doubt Morgan and Dave want to anchor their jobs to Bryce for 2 more years.  Especially after Sunday.

Small minded response. Of course he's not going to get bigger. But if he shows continuous progress it MIGHT take him another year or 2 to reach a top 10 or so QB. We invested too much into him and he is not a bust and actually has better stats than CJ for the last 17 games. H'es not a bust he just may not be a #1 draft pick worthy but most aren't.

what does a bust look like?

I mean, let's say someone is a bust.....how would that person look on paper?  Say 2.5 years into a career?

It would be nice if Young hit the weights hard and put on some mass but he doesn't seem to want to do that.

I guess a better framed question which I tried to do.....is what does a bust look like on paper 2.5 years into a career that a team is still trotting out there and hasn't accepted they swung and missed.

That's probably a Z. Wilson, Darnold, etc. Guys that generally it became pretty obvious these weren't franchise QB's to build around.

Which, that's pretty much Bryce Young as of today.

Say What North Carolina GIF by Carolina Panthers

But with more time he can turn into the best version of himself that can be...and still not be worth a non-rookie contract.

Yes, he is a bust. He is not worth what we paid to draft him, he is not worth picking up the 5th year option, and he is definitely not worth an extension. All things considered, a bust.

    • every team having an international appearance every year is almost guaranteed right now.  Panthers will be the Home team in Germany once every four years in the current rotation (2028 being next). List of home game markets: Argentina: Dolphins Australia: Raiders, Rams, Eagles, Seahawks Austria: Lions, Colts, Chiefs, Pats, Seahawks, Bucs Brazil: Lions, Dolphons, Pats, Eagles Canada: Bills, Bengals, Cards, Lions, Vikings, Seahawks China: Rams Colombia: Dolphins France: Saints Germany: Falcons, Pathers, Lions, Packers, Colts, Chiefs, Pats, Giants, Steelers, Seahawks, Bucs Ghana: Eagles Greece: Chargers Ireland: Packers, Jags, Chiefs, Jets, Steelers, Titans Japan: Rams Mexico: Cards, Cowboys, Broncos, Texans, Chiefs, Raisers, Rams, Dolphons, Steelers, 49ers New Zealand: Raiders, Rams, Eagles, Seahawks Nigeria: Browns South Korea: Rams Spain: Bears, Chiefs, Dolphins Switzerland: Lions, Colts, Chiefs, Pats, Seahawks, Bucs UAB: Rams, 49ers, Commanders UK: Ravens, Bears, Packers, Jags, Chiefs, Dolphins, Vikings, Jets, 49ers So if we're *not* the home team, then we should keep an eye out on our road trip schedule for any of these teams and assigned home countries for potential matchups Example:  if we're playing the Packers as a road trip, there's a chance that the NFL would make us play in Ireland or the UK for that matchup to align with GB's home marketing country
    • He did say he was likely to take a good OC spot over a bad HC spot. A little surprised he didn't go Lions. That's an insane offense to have your hands on.
