That particular part of the fanbase is my wife 😄

She's a diehard Cowboys fan (yeah) but now also cheers for the Panthers because of me.

You guys beat Dallas so you have bragging rights over her. Young only also have bragging rights over me to since you beat us yesterday.

We attended the previous two years Cowboy games, both of which were dominant wins by Dallas.

Last year, I was sick as a dog. She just about had to carry me to the game 🤢

The year before? Our seats were surrounded by obnoxious Cowboy fans.

If I had the choice, I'd relive last year's before the other. Feeling half dead still beats being stuck in the middle of a bunch of Dallas fans 🫩

The pattern of how it happened is what's also a whirlwind:

Looking atrocious against the Cards and Jags, cleaning out ATL with a shutout, getting throttled by the Pats, a comeback win vs the Dolphins, beating the Cowboys with a strong team game, squeaking an ugly one vs. NYJ, getting throttled by the Bills, and then beating a SB fave.

Quite the ride so far.

Other than Bryces 2 turnovers leading to points I wouldn't say the Cardinals game was atrocious. We should have won rather easily without them.

I really dont think were a strong SB favorite anymore. Were a one and done team in the playoffs.

It was more the quickness and abruptness of his turnovers.  It felt so winnable if he wasn't crapping the bed early.

I'll attribute the confusion on the lack of consistency in the team we've been fielding every week. Every week, it's basically a different group of guys because we keep losing them to injury. Maybe if we could actually stay relatively healthy for a bit...

...but that's probably asking too much.

Another thing to note. 3 of the 4 losses were to playoff teams. Yes, the Jags are the 7 seed if the playoffs started today.

So maybe 1-3 vs playoff teams, going by standings as of today. I guess that is an improvement.

We are just about improved enough to be in purgatory draft wise. It really isn’t so bad in the 1st unless you really want that top QB or maybe edge guy because there are usually plenty of good players at the top but it hurts you some as get deeper in the draft.

Source?

I've been looking a bit this morning for anything other than speculation... At this point those trades haven't been reported elsewhere so I suspect they're just rumors (or in progress).

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
