This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion)

Yeah last night was just a bad look for Bryce. Had every chance in the world to show us... something. Nothing to do with physical limitations. Nothing to do with defenses having him figured out. It's just him being wildly inconsistent and playing too conservatively for today's NFL. I think Canales understands they could have won the game with Rico and Chuba, but he wanted/needed to see if Bryce could step up. He did not and this could really be the beginning of the end of his time in Carolina - at least as the unquestioned starter.

There is a world where we host the niners in the playoffs and the best chance to beat them would be not letting Bryce throw a pass

Some of y'all got sucked back in last week.  I knew it was one of Bryce's 'flash in the pan' moments.  Like a 12 hour wall clock with a dead battery, it's going to be correct twice a day.  Well, Bryce is good for a solid performance about twice a season.

Did anyone get offended when the commentators credited Fitzgerlad with the GW points in 3 games?  Like I said in another thread, if the FG kicker puts up the points to surpass the opponents score, they should get the credit for the win, not the QB that couldn't get the TD to seal the victory.

I think those that got sucked back in weren’t ever really out.

Anyhow, it is hard to downgrade a franchise record passing day. You just acknowledge it and look forward.
I had a feeling the plan was pass against them because they are weakest in pass defense. I wasn’t sure what that would look like but I didn’t picture it being that bad.
I didn’t picture 3 Ints and being bad enough to negate them. It was stupefying.

For people touting his clutchness… and I thought he had some, he took the field knowing that a win puts his team in first place in the division. And completely folded.

So it was never Brady, but Vinatieri?

I mean, it does have something to do with physical limitations.  They impact Bryce and the play we can/can't get.  You see examples most weeks of that coming into play.

NFL defenses, the non-dumb ones, have figured him out.  But you got some teams that refuse to follow the path because NFL coaches are stubborn and some insist on just doing what they do (see Atlanta and their blitzing).   You can send some pressure at Bryce but the key to making him irrelevant is asking him to sit back and try to read/throw into coverage.

only way for Canales to get rid of Bryce....is to not try to steal every game he can in spite of the QB
