Get the ball no matter what..   they can score a td or fg.... we still get the ball.... makes perfect sense because you know what you have to get and can use four downs if needed..... not sure how this isnt obvious

Each team gets a possession now.  Since college started doing it, a lot of teams elect to kickoff first.  If you stop them and kick a FG you win:
