Is everyone ok with winning the division and keeping BY as our starter next year? Or do we want to just miss winning the division and have someone else at QB1 next year? It can't be both, and I just don't like the idea of BY long term.

I can’t believe I just actually read that. You play the games to win. Period. Everything else is just background noise

Yes I am ok with winning the division. 🤔

I looked it up. Apparently what we're seeing here is something called "optimism".

Haven't really encountered that sort of thing much in this forum 🤔

Yeah. Tepper seemed to have sucked all hope out of Charlotte the second his plane landed after buying the team.

Is this a serious question? 😳

I want to win. I want to see playoff football. Bryce is coming back next year, so it is what it is.

This is fun now. We have to beat NO, have to! I’m surprising my youngest, who’s my only huge fan, with tickets to the Tampa game. That will be fun to watch if it’s win and in.

I've had tickets for the Bucs game since September. I never thought this game would mean this much when I bought them. After the 1st half of the season I thought I would not be able to give them away. Now I so glad I hung onto them. They are great seats also so this game became extra special knowing my son will be right there with me.

Doesn’t matter. The fact we are in playoff contention already locks BY in as the starter for next year.

Zero chance the team decides to start over with a new QB.

We probably will pick up his 5th year option. Almost 90% sure we will unless he just implodes this gift given to him. If he plays like he did against the Falcons then they may consider a long term deal but highly unlikely. I think they will definitely do the 5th year option even if we reach the playoffs and win a game.

    • We were very banged up going into that Rams game. Our second best player (Horn), our best safety, and both starting ILBs were out. I feel like our defense has really been impressive considering a year ago. If our offense learns how to be balanced like they were against the Rams, we can honestly beat anyone. Those losses to the Saints and 49ers may have been what we needed to figure out that when we depend too much on either running exclusively or passing exclusively that we are no good. That Rams game showed what we can do when we are in sync offensively and it was so much fun to watch. If that offense shows up this week then go ahead and cancel your plans the second weekend in January as you will have a game to watch.
    • and we won a game in the playoffs.....where our leading receiver was Fozzy Whitaker w/ just 39 rec yards.  That feels like a 2025 Panthers type winning setup.
    • Yep, the board has amnesia to the weekly swings and declarations made.  The same cast of characters has been talked about vastly different repetitively and you only have to go back as far as the game before the last one....and just keep repeating that pattern largely backwards.  I personally feel confident that this team is not bad and it is not good.  And while that is nice to get back to be out of the literal dumpster......I don't view this team as an average team w/ a puncher's chance.  All average teams are of different molds.  We are more the, if a really good team plays bad, you will lose to us variety.  We aren't bad enough where you can get away with a bad day vs us anymore.
