bryce supporters are the most diehard fans of a single playee i have ever scene.  he can do no wrong in their eyes.  oh 51 yards coach called a bad game wrs just all suck oline all sucks defense should have held them to 0 defense sucks.  byoung probably had the worse game yardage wise for a starting qb in the nfl all season today and somehow none of it is his fault according to his fans.  they are not panther fans anymore they have become byoung fans

Exactly standards that used to matter suddenly don't.

The acceptable bar for a #1 pick has gone from the expectation of a meteoric rise to outright shoeshining and caping for a guy just because once in awhile he does something 31 other starting NFL QB's can do and that's when he isn't looking like complete dogshit more often than not. And yet if you point this out. YOU are the problem in the eyes of some. If it sounds like a cult. That's because it is.

I don't even get mad at Bryce anymore. As bad as he is, it is readily apparent that he is giving his absolute best.

Unfortunately, he probably peaked in Pop Warner.

If we had just kept Darnold (or Baker, or Teddy, or even Kyle Allen) we'd have already locked up the #1 seed with this roster.

      Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.

      I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
