So do we really want to win?

Afc north is in the same boat as us but nobody even talks about them. Only thing the pundits complain about is the nfc south

I think the focus is on the NFC South because the two teams contending for the title are the two teams absolutely floundering down the stretch. The Falcons and Saints are clearly better teams right now than us and the Bucs but it is what it is.

progress is progress.  I'll take being at the cusp of winning the division over everything else from the past few years.  Lets live in the moment.  Tommorrow will handle itself.

But we weren't at the cusp of winning the division because we were good. This division is bad, and reality looks like if Shough had been starting the season instead of Rattler, NO would be winning this one. It's like us "winning" the division at 7-9. How can you win a division without a winning record?

I'll tune in to root against Aaron Rodgers.  AFCN still has that.  Plus I like Lamar/Henry.

I don't think non-Panther/Buc fans are going to give a rip about us.

I want to win, it has been too long. However I am not really interested in noodle armed Bryce anymore. Winning the division will guarantee we are stuck with him for 2 more years though.

Disagree. Dan and Dave would have to be braindead to think he's going to win the team a Superbowl. He's going to be the starter next year regardless of if they make the playoffs or not. Also there is definitely an argument that getting blown out in the playoffs would speed up the replacement clock more than a close loss to a bad Tampa team anyway.

We’re in too deep now. I want to win and get in.

Im already expecting next year to be a down year with that first place schedule. Maybe after that embarrassment, we’ll see real changes

I’ve been pro tank for so long that I forgot what it’s like to be able to watch meaningful games in December and it’s been fun

Expectations were 7-8 wins this year and now we have a shot at a playoff game. Regardless Saturday is essentially a playoff game and it’s been fun.

Day 1 fans realize how far and few between these playoff games can be so might as well enjoy/root for it when we can. Who knows when the next time will be

No you do it by taking a knee to lose the game

Stop.

our offense did nothing all day and throwing the ball downfield in obvious passing situations is leaving the QB vulnerable and WR’s open to taking some big shots. A late touchdown changes absolutely nothing.

I couldn’t even imagine what people would be saying if someone like TMac or Coker got hurt on a meaningless play on that final drive

    • considering [Dave] Canales enters Year 3 working for an impulsive owner. There’s not much room to slide backwards from an 8-9 season and 13-21 overall record. It doesn’t help that his primary job has been the development of quarterback Bryce Young, and the progress there has been inconsistent. Canales was supposed to turn the former top pick into a franchise quarterback. If that doesn’t happen by next January, the Panthers could be looking for both a new coach and quarterback." —————- The format of that doesn’t display on my iPad I had to paste it as plain text to see it so I am leaving it here to refer to… I am gonna disagree with a lot of that.  First reference is Tepper. That interview posted here a few days back gave me the impression that he is really happy with his FO. And Canales. Seat isn’t even warm as of right now. IMO.  The assertion that Canales is supposed to turn Young into a franchise QB is something I have never bought. First, how could anyone look at 2023Bryce and see a can’t miss Franchise player?  He was for sure a could miss.  I am not sure it was fix Bryce or you are both gone. Maybe that will happen The longer it drags on, I think maybe the more likely a total house cleaning could be an outcome. I mean it is only year 3 of Canales coming up. But as a couple of people like to point out, he has shown other concerning flaws that might damage his stock.  As far as the hot seat, mid season with 2-3 wins I would imagine yeah it would be pretty warm. I think a small regression to say 7 or maybe even 6 wins would be tolerated but the seat is warm for 2027. Depends on the circumstances.
    • Or finish 7th and lose the first game to set up with the Pistons. One they have less playoff experience than the Knicks or Celtics and two cuz fug em that's why
    • This damn play is shown as one of the worst sports plays of the year on a Canadian sports channel on repeat. The reminder on a weekly basis keeps me from being too happy with our playoff appearance.
