Knowing that Frank played and coached NFL quarterback his entire adult life. And he was built for it. I can only get to one viewpoint of what he would think of Bryce and the NFL game.

I’d love to have some of the conversations between him and Tepper leak but they never will.

Classic armchair QB, backseat driving.  Trying to insinuate that is was easy and obvious to see Bryce would struggle in the NFL based on his college career.

Most had him at 1 or 2 overall and I think I'd be very safe to say every team had him evaluated as a high 1st round pick.

None of that really means poo but acting like it supports the "Truth" about Bryce is just disingenuous.

I really like Bryce but I'm not blind. I can see the inconsistent play and problems but I also see more and more examples of elite play.

The best course of action is to pick up his option because of the shown continuing improvement (overall and independent of draft expectations), youth of the offense coaching staff and players.  Also, the lack of a better option in FA or next years draft.

I look it a little like poker.  This team lead by Canales and Young is the best hand we've been dealt in a decade.  I'm calling the bet but I'm not ready to raise.  I wanna see the river card first.  Stupid to fold this hand too soon.

It was obvious to me. I said so, loudly. Not even based on his college tape but his horrible mechanics and weak arm, clearly visible on his pro day (yes it is weak for the NFL).

And struggle he did. Three years in, he is still struggling. Big surprise, the way to beat the Panthers is stop their run game and make Bryce beat you.

You want to ride that little pair of threes into the river you will need a life jacket.

This was easy to call. No QB 5’10 or under has had a long term career as a starting QB in 60 years. There’s been over 1,000 QBs over 60 years. Bryce has a .1% chance of being a success based on that statistic alone. Bryce is not the same height as Murray. Standing side by side it’s obvious he’s shorter. And his physical prowess wasn’t his strength, it was his mental capability. That hasn’t been up to snuff either. The player we drafted had to defy 60 years of QB history. We sold the house and tried to win big at the casino. The odds were always against us winning this deal.

Man Murray is just flat out bigger. He may only be an inch or two taller but damn is he clearly built differently.

One of the biggest concerns some of us had was can he see over linemen in a tight pocket. If he’s 1-2 inches shorter than Murray, and he sure looks it, his sight level is 5’3 to 5’4. Shoulder height for NFL linemen in pads is going to be 5’6 to 5’8.

He needs the oline to open passing lanes so he can see, otherwise the pocket is no good even if it's clean
