2026 Team Needs

Bring in competition at QB obviously

Offense:

1.  A reliable #2 WR

We have positions 1, 3, 4, with Tmac, Coker, Horn

2. Pass catching TE (Kyle Pitts)

We need to be able to put pressure on linebackers, so they cant be strictly dialed in on our run game.

3. Either resign Dowdle or bring in someone to compete for starting role.

Defense:

1. Pass Rush (Multiple guys)

If we going to compete with Saints and Falcons, Bucs going forward we need a pass rush.

2. Linebacker

Heavy draft for LB we need to stretched our Front 7

3. Maybe find a upgrade to Nick Scott

In order IMO are

Edge

MLB

TE

WR (Alec Pierce will cost too much but he's perfect)

Backup QB (praying we can get Geno smith for nothing)

Another MLB

FS

Geno would be a good signing, but I’d prefer someone younger like Marcus Mariota.

There are no quarterbacks available at the moment that guarantee wins.

Sure, but the one we have is terrible and he makes it hard to win games. His production is easily replaceable. Very little risk that his replacement will be worse.

Not next year, we are stuck with wee man.  Remember, he just got us to the playoffs...sort of.

Kirk Cousins did far more to get this team to the playoffs than Bryce did... lol

A legit pass rusher.

Thank you. All these ILB over a pass rusher make me shudder. Just like C and G, there are solid LBs in day 2. If we aren’t using the 1st on a QB, it needs to be on an edge. Scourton has been decent but we need that guy who’s getting us a ton of pressure and not let Baker run around for hours.

It's going to be very interesting to see where Pitts ends up next year, but I'm not sure he's worth the risk.

Sure he had a great year, but sports are littered with examples of guys who were complete busts of high picks, only to have a breakout season in their final year of their rookie deal, sign a big contract, and then go right back to being a bust.

We still have way too many holes to take a swing on paying big money to a TE who is anything but a sure thing.

My brother and sister live in Atlanta and are Falcons fans.  They hate Pitts and say he's awful.

Drew allar in the 4th is the play.

Allar is garbage IMHO. Every game I’ve seen him play against a decent team and he’s been bad. I do agree with you that this has been a very disappointing college QB year (hence Arch and Sellers staying), but guys like Allar and Klubnik will be day 3 picks. I don’t like any guys this year as 1sts but I’d be happy taking 1 or 2 development guys who have the physical tools and entered 2025 as potential 1st rounders. You never know how good/bad their coaching was.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
