Mike McDaniel for OC?

They need a dedicated O.C. Doesn't matter if Canales wants it or not. The play calling has been anemic  at best. Let Canales concentrate on his HC duties.  M.M did well with Tua when his head wasn't scrambled. Maybe turn the offense around and score more than 17 points a game.

There's currently 7 other open HC slots in the league. There is no way McDaniel will need to take a step back to OC unless he wanted to.

I know he's already been linked to a few other teams' HC openings, but I can't for the life of me understand why. I don't think he's been remotely good in Miami.

McDaniel is a weird cat though.  His style isn't going to mesh with a lot of orgs.  He screams OC.  Not HC.

its one of the reasons he keeps Idzik around. Same reason Nixon kept Spiro agnew around as long as he could.

If he went anywhere to be OC it would be Detroit. I highly doubt he'll take a step down with so many openings and so few candidates.
