Only way that'd make any sense is if you go big in FA/trade for a pass rusher. Even then we need a burner/good route runner that can catch and that can be gotten later or in FA

To be fair, Tyson is a well-rounded route runner, has good speed and great separation.

I think of him as a taller JSN with the same wiggles and ability to play outside or in the slot. He would be a great cherry on top to our young WR corps between TMac and Coker.

He might not be a burner, but his short area quicks and ability to turn DBs around with ease is appealing.

Personally, I think it's a luxury pick and hope we go elsewhere. I think Dan and Dave do as well.

I also think DJ is one of the most respected draft analysts in the league. He has his fingers on the pulse, especially front office whispers, in addition to the draft prospects themselves. He's always been very fair to the Panthers, and IMO, covers them better than the Shultzes and Kipers of the football world. He also went to App St.

Depending on how the board falls, Tyson could technically be seen as BPA at 19. Dude was and still is a top-10 selection despite a rough 2025 season at ASU. Our WR unit is not a complete room yet, so it's not that outragious if we truly are looking BPA.

Me personally, I want OT, LB, DT or FS at 19. In DJ's scenario, I'd take any of Faulk, Woods, Lomu or Allen. I personally like the Texas LB more than Allen, and think he's a better compliment to Wallace, but Allen does give me Jon Beason vibes, so wouldn't be mad there either.

Great to know, I don't follow college football at all but anything close to JSN would be awesome. Thanks for giving me some players to check out

I see some college Jerry Juedy in the way he moves

    • Brother man right now I put him as a top 10 corner but I think it's homerism to even put him top 5. He's got work to do same as anyone else.
    • Darnold flashed the physical talent here but let's be real his decision making was also at times absolutely atrocious. That was always the only question with him. He checked every other box. Really he was more a victim of timing here more than anything. Rhule as his coach certainly did him no favors. And the interior OL when he was here was disgusting. For all the cries about the OL Bryce's rookie season it was much worse before. Now we have the highest paid OL in the league and people actually tried to rationalize 54 passing yards in an entire game lmao. All in all Darnold has made significant strides and while certainly coaching matters I think that is much more than just that. Adversity and being dumped and passed over seems to have had just as much if not more of an impact for his present day progression.
    • Top 3 instead of top 5???  Not sure how much resurging there is to do here.  Those Saints games really must have soured you on him.  Every dog has his day. Pat Surtain II got manhandled by Amon-Ra St. Brown.  The unstoppable Parker Washington also torched him pretty good.
