XL is a Lost Cause

Just saw this interview he had with Cam on 4th and 1 and my god...I feel like he's just not NFL material

Cam asked "How do you think you get to where you need to be so people believe the hype around you" answer "My problem was I DIDNT GET MEANINGFUL OPPORTUNITIES".  Holy fuging poo.  Dude is lost.  That's the equivalent of saying "My biggest flaw is I work too hard".  Double down on him from earlier this season when he said "I didnt learn anything from my time on the sideline with an injury"

2nd Part to note where he said something fuging crazy.  Cam giving him advice about making sure he connects with his quarterback how Greg would come in and see cam studying film and ask "So what are you seeing" so he was on the same page.  XLs respons "Thats a part I lack, I dont have sitdowns with bryce as much as I should".  My fuging dude...you want more opportunities..MAYBE talk to the guy who can GIVE you the opportunites.

Yeah, that's rough. Like dude, you stayed on the starting lineup over a better WR for most of the season. It wasn't a lack of opportunities, it was a lack of you doing anything with the opportunities.

Jalen Coker spent less time on the field than XL between injury and the depth chart, and still finished with more receiving yards and the same amount of touchdowns.  And that doesn't even account for Coker's playoff game.

XL sucks.  And I don't think any amount of hard work is going to make him a starting WR.  Because at the end of the day, the foundation has to exist, and unfortunately, XL just doesn't GET the position.

Idunno ...in my mind I figured XL and Bryce had more of a relationship/ connection by this point. 

They practice together damn near everyday... interview was a lil weird. But I do respect that he tkes accountability and he's nowhere near content.

He just isn’t very smart, and shouldn’t be doing interviews. That was a bunch of the wrong way to answer the questions. It is good to see where his head is at. Not that I am happy to hear his viewpoint, he has a come to Jesus moment waiting.
 

I sort of agree that they have not used him like he was used in college or like I expected them to use him when we took him.  
 

But that is him sticking his foot in his mouf big time.

I really dislike XL. He just comes off oblivious to the world and zero humility. I said it all last offseason too I hope I’m wrong and he ends up being a legit option for us. Very little hope for that at this point

I struggle to see him anything more than a tragically comical sideshow.  He made his $12m or so--time to go blow it
