Different era . Made sense then not so much now . I hope we keep him we need a power back badly

Look at us play and tell me we are in a different era. We are old school. Team is being built old school.
I get people mostly don’t use fullbacks any more, but then I don’t know why the hell we would need 4 TEs.

And we are not going with a bell cow back system. Two backs, 1a&1b needed for 17 games.
A QB that can’t run a sneak, now that is definitely not old school. I admit that.
I would find somewhere to cut the roster by a player if we had a real short yardage guy.

Thought he would be something for GB but just never did anything. Really forgot about him quickly; don’t expect anything but it’s never bad to add more bodies and see what shakes out.

He played well for them, but he just wasn't better than Aaron Jones. But he had some solid seasons playing second fiddle.

I think this is the guy with the biggest calfs in the league, like grown man Steve Smith calfs.

I doubt its little over the min, no issue with bringing in former early picks for those types of deals. I mean maybe he can QB sneak.......(half joking)

I want to see DB do a qb sneak. I’m not even joking.

I'm more worried that we already squeezed the last of Brooks' career in those three plays or so already...

Grabbing this guy makes me worry that Brooks isn't being counted on... again.

Could just be precautionary. It's a cheap 1 year deal and I'm curious how much of it is guaranteed. Could end up being a camp body cut if Brooks is healthy (or we draft another RB who we like more).

Carolina Panthers Primary LogoCARRunning Back#29

Panthers signed AJ Dillon, formerly of the Eagles, to a one-year contract.
Dillon missed all of the 2024 season while recovering from a neck injury he suffered late in the previous year. He returned in 2025 on a one-year deal with the Eagles. Dillon appeared in the first six games of the year but eventually fell off the game-day roster with Philly’s addition of Tank Bigsby. He finished the season with 12 carries for 60 yards. Dillon will be fighting for a roster spot in Carolina during training camp.

Aj Dillion is a camp body, dude is considered a meme around the league.

He really had hype back in the day, NFL used to prefer power backs a bit more back then. The league is all about speed now, the meta is a Gibbs.
