We believing this about Nuss?  I liked him (and allar) a ton before this season but both were in some pretty toxic environments.  I know we wont do it but damn I wouldnt cry about throwing out a flyer on either in round 4ish.

Nuss has a pretty good arm, goes through progressions quickly and knows when to get rid of the ball.

Allar looks like he is built in a qb lab.  Just needs some coaching

I think we should go for one or the other if they are there in the 4th. Either one has a better arm that what's on the roster. Is that saying much or is it a low bar? I believe Nuss could be a good pick up if the doctors  check out the spine and it's low risk.

No thanks. Watched a few games of both and when it came down to it, they weren’t NFL talents. I don’t think either will ever amount to much. They feasted on bad teams and played like Hackenberg against good teams.

If Nuss or Allar are there in the 4th I'd love to get one.  I'd love to see if our staff can develop either of these (especially Allar).  Allar has the ceiling you want but Nuss probably has the higher floor.

Always go with the higher floor. We seriously need to raise the floor of a lot of positions in the building. Starting with qb.

Lol, if we are doing that, we would be very stupid. Sadiq would be the equivalent of drafting somebody like Zachariah Branch (minus his arrest issues from a couple days ago) - a dude with elite level speed that has no route tree. And Branch (prior to the arrest) was a fringe 2nd rounder, likely 3rd rounder.

Drafting Sadiq in the 1st round means you think he can flex between inline and slot TE and be great at both. If you don't think he can make it as an inline TE in some capacity (which is what I think), you aren't drafting him in the 1st.

I will be extremely shocked if we draft Sadiq. Canales has shown he likes inline tight ends that can block, and I'm confident in saying that is not Sadiq

Call me crazy but what if we asked XL to put on a few pounds and convert to a TE instead and draft Cooper or Burke to replace him? 😂

I thought most people liked Tet last year.
At 8 it is easier probably since you know you are getting top shelf.
I think the only play I  would be real down on would be the TE but even then it depends on the choices we pass on to do that.

Warren was my guy, but Tet was 1b.  I was only sightly disappointed.

Brendan Donahue, the #2 most accurate mock drafter over the past five NFL seasonsaccording to The Huddle Report, gives you his 2026 NFL Mock Draft

I wouldn't mind it, but Lomu is my guy.  I agree, if we get another WR and Bryce still looks....well, like Bryce, we know it's time to move on.

It's like we're allergic to QBs with legit NFL caliber arms. It's bizarre.

I guess it's so we don't have to force a UDFA QB to be in serious consideration for QB3.  QB4 will be just a camp arm and maybe a stash on the PS if he looks half way decent.

They will not bring in competition for Bryce if you haven't figured that out by now.  He's either going to sink or swim.  The next QB with a legit arm on this team will be when we move on from Bryce.  I think this is the ramifications from the Darnold/Mayfield debacle.
