counterpoint - Reid recoginzed Smith was limited and he wasnt going to win a SB so he made a change.  He was 11-4 the year prior and 9-6 the year they drafted Patrick.  But again Reid recognized he had to elevate the qb position to win.  Just like Mcvay and Shannonhan

That's why I say we have to keep looking. Even if you believe Bryce is the guy, KP and Grier are not and who knows if King is anything more than a gimmick player, we should be active in improving our 2nd QB spot. Season ending injuries happen, and you don't just want to roll over and give it up. How many starters have we seen come from the ranks of backup? Having 2 potential starting QBs is one of the best problems we could have.

BetMGM has 6.5 wins as the betting line for the upcoming season.

Our rivals are at 8.5 (Bucs) and 7.5 (Falcons and Saints)

I looked into this and it looks like a lot of money is already flowing into the Over. Wasn’t really a payout.

I am not into gambling, so take that into consideration. That said, Vegas is not in the habit of losing money. It happens from time to time, certainly.

I do think it is telling that they are betting on Panthers finishing last in the South again, and taking a step back.

Maybe it is disrespect, as I personally think the Falcons are destined to be last with an unsettled qb situation. Honestly though we are not too far from being in a similar boat. Not the same but similar.

I can see 9 wins. Not confident about any more than that. This season is again about development. Still a young team all around - players, coaches, GM and owner. Everyone is still finding their way. But they all do seem to be learning and getting better.

Young team?  We doing this again?

I guess so. Don't think I was involved with previous discussions.

Tepper is one of the newest owners in the NFL. Dan is going into his 3rd season as a GM - ever. Dave is going into his 3rd season as a HC - ever. Before becoming a HC, he was an OC/playcaller for one season total. Idzik is about to go into his 1st year as a play caller - ever. WRs are rookies, sophomores and 3rd year guys - though the experienced 3rd year guys are XL and Coker (who has missed a ton of games). TEs are guys going into their 2nd and 3rd seasons, and Tommy Tremble - though Sanders has missed a ton of games. QB has played 3 years. Chuba is an experienced RB, but Brooks and Etienne have taken very little snaps at the position. O-line is more experienced vets with some talent - which is HUGE. Need them to stay healthy. I mean the offense is very young in every aspect except O-line. You see it differently?
