the fact that you cant sign up a new account for over a year now is crazy! I've totally forgotten my password I think. Should have this computer for a long time considering I bought it about 14 moths ago. Been on and off posting for about 15 years now. First found the huddle when we drafted Cam as I wanted to know if he would actually be good or not(he was thank god). Hope Zod returns one day, At least he pays the bill to keep the site up, would be nice if one day it was owned by someone truly invested.

I dont think he will ever sell it. I'm okay with that cause whoever buys it will screw it up

I am just remember a little by reading through this and looking back.
I think pantherfanz had a bus. Like a small bus all decked out for tailgates. Short bus. Someone else may come along and straighten me out or confirm.

edit: the death timeline matches up, it wasn’t a real long time after the first Jake season that he passed. Couple of years sounds right.

I'm thinking it's pantherfanz or panthermark from clt.com board.  He worked for Microsoft. Had a tricked out bus and was at every game cooking up something for anyone who showed up.  Good guy.

Yes, I believe it was a bus and I believe his name was Mark.  Great Guy and a huge Panther Fan.

I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job.

Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed.

Also, lol

We can only hope the Panthers become relevant enough for Igo to start giving a damn about us again

It mist be a lot of work since he hasn’t done it already but man I wish he’d give this place just a little bit of love with some upgrades or sell it to a long time member that will give it the attention it needs

People were saying he wanted an offer he couldn’t refuse type of price.

There are other outlets for sports talk these days. So, to a certain extent, this is a relic. It not being updated/maintained continues to keep it as a relic.

Panthers Reddit requires you to be a certain type of fan, or you may not enjoy your experience.

I don't come around as much as I did in the good old days. I take a long break after the season, will hang around for a bit at draft time, and then start to come back regularly sometime in preseason.

The other sources for our division rivals are all worthwhile to visit, and are very much alive and kicking.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
