 wish Dan Morgan was not the GM because no other GM or most any GM in their right mind would not just sit back & do nothing while Bryce Young has 3 consecutive losing seasons & in all likelihood a 4th ...just saying

Maybe I’m reading this wrong, but to me, it didn’t sound like it was a sure thing. Hopefully they do the smart thing and let him play most of the year before deciding.

I would probably bet the difference between us is I think it would kill it, but am open to the possibility he could surprise me. 

Whereas I think the supporters feel like it is a given that he would no longer be held back and would finally be able to show his stuff.

PS I am not thinking that will really happen though.  The playbook being thrown wide open.

"Yeah good question Rich. Bryce sucks.  Small hands,  limited arm strength.  Shorter than my neighbors kid.  No manhood if you know what I mean.  Won't lift for some reason.  I'm going to go ahead and tip my hand.  We're looking at free agents or an answer in the 1st next year."

😂😂😂I don’t know that he would have to be that mean about it. It would just be the different direction. We have a wide gap between his asking price and our bottom line top offer, so it’s best to let him try the market.

I will be so pissed if we forgo the '27 qb class to extend Bryce. We have him signed through '27 already with option(s) to franchise/transition tag him twice so we are covered through '29 if a miracle happens.  Of course I said the same thing about the '26 qb class.

Dan isn't stupid. He's being positive and diplomatic without explicitly saying that if Bryce isn't good enough that he won't be extended. It's all on Bryce, y'all. This season is sh¡t-or-get-off-the-pot time.

Every qb class looks amazing after watchin Young play for the last 3 years.

Yeah he has to do the coach speak supportive positive praise routine.  Got a whole team to keep on board and pulling in the same direction. 
 

I will believe the poo or get off the pot thing when one of things actually happens.

At least he's been benched before, unfortunately they had a declining Dalton as the only option. New guys might just be a sideways move but if it's basically the same performance level they are way cheaper and can actually qb sneak. If it's a sideways move I'm keeping one of those guys on another prove it deal and drafting high again

      Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
