Still probably outside looking in.

Chuba, ETN, Brooks

Leaves likely just one of Dillon, Johnson, Tyus for the active.

I don't have him making the team and I think same goes for the staff, but they are hopeful for a PS spot.

I mean of course I'd like 3 all-world at RB and every spot, just doesn't work that why. Panthers normally carry 3. dan always talk up Etienne, even called him a future star.....I think Brooks will be fine as a 2 with health pls.....

Chubba can carry a seasons load as lead dawg.

Its fine, I mean backup OGs or CB is much higher on my worry scale(Id even put QB room as worse than RB room too...)

It would obviously be incredible if Brooks came back and just ran away with the job on his opportunities like Rico Dowdle did last year. But any Panthers fan that has been around the block knows better than to go ahead and make plans for that. Brooks has missed a ton of not just playing time but meaningful early career growth in a league that has increasingly devalued the position from an investment standpoint beyond one or two superstars. There's really not any comparison to look back on that lines up with the current iteration of the league at least not favorably.

The key thing that this RB room has going for them is our investment in the OL. The highest paid OL in the league two years in a row paired with our staff should make it easier for just about any RB to get into open running lanes. But that is also anything but a given considering our OL was largely middle of the pack last year.

In the end it might all be a moot point anyways if we again struggle to establish a viable passing attack.

You ain’t lying…Zavala, a guy who retired once, and someone name Ja’Tyre appear to be the backup guard candidates. They did kick Da’Tyres on an old R1 bust in Kenyon Green with a minicamp tryout.

That last line is the key. Passing game lives or dies off the running game. I struggle to see any help the passing has provided in return - there is no pass to op n up the run to speak of.

Add in that we have downgraded the run blocking at left tackle according to analysts, and I really don’t know what to expect from C….
It puts more load on th passing game to help out

Best I know is they will carry 3 Cs- Fortuner, Hecht, and samac........ One of them needs to OG ready.

Maaaaayy need to think about putting a OT from the log jam as well.

For the most part .....besides last season.... hunt and lewis are active and healthy and badass. Christ is still ava, but no clue on his rehab....there's not much in FA unlike RB.

It's scary, unless one of the Cs or OT secretly can play starter level OG....

Then the backups at CB is another whole issue.....horn contract has somewhat solved his injuries.....*BUT* he's gotten too many concussions recently.......Michael Jackson hard carried last season, are the backups ready for the schedules WRs?!?!? chase, brown, st brown, jsn, JJ, plus all the NFC south stud WRs.....that's a huge problem for some UDFA to guard jsn......

pray for healthy CBs and OGs......

We're more athletic on the OLine now, so I think you'll more outside zone.

I think our RB depth is actually pretty good. Chuba is a quality starter who can carry the load and give respectable production. Then you have to give Jonathan Brooks the opportunity to show what he's got especially since we invested a 2nd round pick into him, and he'll be going into year 3 of his 4-year rookie deal. We have to know what we have in Brooks by the end of the season. You also got Trevor Etienne who I thought looked pretty good in the limited chances he got to carry the ball. I thought he looked good on kickoffs I just don't want him fielding punts ever again. Then Dillion is a solid practice squad vet who can sub in as a power back if Chuba is out.

We don't have a super star top 10 guy, but our overall group is pretty solid.
