Turk Wharton Neck Surgery

Rumor - I’ve only put it as a rumor cause Joe and Mike haven’t confirmed it yet but it looks like Turk Wharton had neck surgery recently and will be out indefinitely this signing hasn’t been great at all ….

Agreed. He is a fine rotational role player that we paid to be something of a difference maker.

Salt in the wound is this was a reactionary signing to missing out on Milton Williams. Morgan is not infallible unfortunately.

Hate the injury for him but he was going to be cut next offseason regardless. The front office fell in love with the interior pass rushing that Milton Williams was showing off in Philadelphia and when they lost the bidding war to the Pats they panic and signed the next best guy while ignoring the fact he was obviously not a fit for the scheme.  

This will open up some more reps for Cam Jackson who I thought looked promising late down the stretch last season and it'll force us to start Bobby Brown who when he actually got playtime looked amazing against the run. I remember versus the saints he stopped like 3 plays in a row by himself and we all were questioning why he wasn't playing more.
